CHARLES.

“Let's begin!” He suddenly declared, before I could even call him to attention, that he was creeping my wife out.

He turned and walked straight to the altar; he did some incantation before looking back at us and continued it. 

Amy looked at me several times, trying to reassure herself that we were on the right track. He was done with everything; he was done and walked back to us and placed a finger on each of our temples.

He continued with his words before moving back again.

“You both stand before the moon goddess to declare that you both accept each other as life partners. A twinned wolf that will last forever!” He said, and I held Amy's hand tighter.

“A mate that will appreciate one another and care for one another. A mate that will give all it takes to be the best and nothing but the best for each other!” He said, and we nodded.

“I might have declared whatever is in your mind, but as the moon goddess is your witness. Declare your intent in this union to your partner!” He said, and we turned to each other.

I sighed and started first.

“I never thought of having a mate before you came into my life. I just wanted to rule and maybe one day just fight for my clan again.” I started, and she smiled.

“I have given my all for this clan, as it is a place I was raised, and I was taught to raise! But you came unexpectedly, as a miracle. I didn't want to miss out on.” I spoke as I sighed and looked at the woman in my hand.

She looked away and blushed as I spoke, and the more she looked away, the more I wanted to be the reason she would smile shyly.

She had a smile that every time I saw, I wanted nothing to happen to that smile.

“I am happy you are in my life, and I want to declare to you now that you will be the reason I will love and believe in love all my life.” I declared.

“You will be my treasured jewel and my morning star. I will never allow my anger to sleep with the day. I will never make my hand have a print on your body except…” I said and winked at her.

She chuckled and looked away shyly, and I smiled as well.

“You will be the only woman I will lie with; you will be the only mother of my children. I will fight for you till my breath is taken away. I will do everything in my power to please you.” I continued my words with all sincerity. 

“I will be your confidant and your safe home. I will be your friend and your family! I will always be the man you fall in love with, even in the next life!” I said to her, and I could tell I said everything from my heart.

My heart was speeding as I spoke, and I could already imagine everything and how our happy ending would be.

This woman in front of me is the woman I want to grow old with. I want to have my forever with her and watch my kids grow.

I want to watch the sunrise as an old Lycan with her.

“To the lady, declare your intent!” The priest said, and she looked up at my face. Staring into her eyes, I could not help but get lost in them.

Her eyes were glittering, and I wanted to drown in her eyes without thinking twice. I wanted to be the one who would brighten them and keep the light in their eyes forever.

“Charles Lavista! My king! You are the miracle I never prayed for; you were the man who pulled me out of misery!” She said, and I could feel she was getting so emotional.

Her hands got sweaty, and she was just looking at me with her eyes battling like they were going to be drenched in tears.

“Many might not be able to tell how it felt to be in my position, but I lost hope, and you came for me. I was expecting you to reject this lowly poor woman who had nothing for herself.

I was the lowest of the low, and you didn't even look at me once; you came to lift me up and brought me closer to you and accepted me as your woman and your mate.

“I want to declare to you at this very moment that I will forever love you; I will respect you as my king and my crown, my man and my helper. I will fight for you and fight with you.

Behind every man, there is a woman, and I will be that woman who will stand by you, stand for you, and stand with you!” She said, 

This time she wasn't even looking away from me. Her gaze was fixed on me like she was looking into my soul at the time. The more she spoke, the more my heart flipped.

I felt locked with her at the moment. It was like we were in another realm, different from the rest of the world.

“In sickness and in health, come sunshine, come rainfall, I will be by you!” she continued.

“I will be your woman, your queen, the mother of your kids, and your lady every day and every night! And I would do everything to please you!” She said, and I smiled hearing her last words.

She intentionally used my words to mean the same things, and it was so fun seeing we were on the same page.

The priest coughed, looking at the two of us, and sighed.

“You two are the second couple that made my eyes swell up with tears since I have been a priest! 

I hope your intent is sealed by the moon goddess, but as well, you have to seal your words with the marking!” He said it, and I finally remembered.

That is true! I haven't marked her. I accepted her but didn't mark her! I was just so concerned about cleaning her and making sure she was fine that I didn't think about marking her at the time.

“Mark!” She exclaimed with a curious gaze, and I was surprised she didn't even know about the marking that was supposed to be done by mates.
