Chapter 22: Goodbye For Now

Waking up next to Alric always made Alana feel wanted. She wished he didn’t have to go. 

Alana was bound into his embrace, as usual, his long and thick arms squeezed against the firmness of his chest. When she turned to face him, he instinctively held her tighter. She softly giggled, looking at his ruggedly handsome face, his eyes still closed. 

Even as Alric lay flat on his back, one of his arms still held her waist. She settled her forearm on his chest and her chin landed on her hand. She bit her lip, feeling the urge to touch his long and pointed nose. 

Slowly, she lifted her finger and started tracing his features. From the bridge of his nose, she reached the tip, then her finger wandered off to his long lashes, just before caressing the scar over his right brow.
