Chapter 46: To The South

~Alana~

Days went by in a blur. 

Alana had her second visit with Valencia, and the great healer succeeded in having Alana’s seal retreat another inch. It was slower progress compared to the first attempt, but Valencia pointed out how the procedure took out more energy from her. 

She understood. The last time, Valencia rested for a week. Besides, Alana was already contented with the progress of her seal receding, and whatever was happening to her also applied to Kai. She and Alric determined it was only a matter of time.

As for Geneva, Alric dealt with her. After learning why Alana became reluctant about being with him, Alric paid Geneva a visit the next day. He cautioned her one last time, and he made sure the entire school faculty was warned along with her. 

Alana understood Alric only wanted to scare them from speaking ill about her, but that did not help, though. In fact, other teachers at Kai’s school began to spread rumors
