Lisa’s POV

By the time I reached the hall, dozens of warriors were already seated in orderly rows, their attention fixed on the raised platform at the front.

The atmosphere was tense with anticipation.

I walked over to where Kael was seated and took my place beside him. He gave me a reassuring nod.

I drew in a slow breath, trying to steady the nervous flutter in my stomach.

A moment later, Head Warrior Logan stepped onto the stage.

The murmurs immediately died down.

He gave me another nod, silently urging me forward. My chest tightened.I made my way toward the stage, Liam approaching from the opposite side.We climbed onto the platform and stood several feet apart, both dressed in identical training armor.Logan stepped between us.“Today, you will undergo the warrior qualification test,” he announced, his voice carrying across the enti

Lisa’s POVEIGHT MONTHS LATERI stood before Kael’s full-length mirror, staring at the reflection staring back at me.For a moment, I barely recognized myself. The woman in the mirror looked nothing like the girl who had first arrived at Kael’s training grounds eight months ago. Now, my body is leaner and more defined. The weight I had carried when I first began training had melted away beneath months of relentless drills, endless sparring sessions, running, sword practice, and Kael’s merciless conditioning. My waist had become noticeably slimmer, my stomach flatter, and the muscles in my arms and legs were more pronounced. Even my face had lost some of its softness, leaving behind sharper cheekbones and a more defined jawline. And today, dressed in my warrior armor, I looked like someone who belonged on a battlefield.A slow smile curved across my lips as I placed one hand on my waist. This felt like a dream come true.Nyra said warmly. ‘I'm proud of us, Lisa. We're finally being rec

Lisa’s POV“Lisa.”Kael’s voice came from the other side of the door, followed by the soft click of the handle as it began to turn. Was that Kael? The door swung open, and Kael stepped inside, my pajamas draped over one hand. The moment his eyes landed on Elara, he stopped.I instinctively took a step back from her.His gaze shifted between Elara and me.His brows drew together in confusion. After a brief pause, he gave Elara a slight bow before straightening and walking toward me.“What’s she doing here?” he murmured, keeping his voice low enough for only me to hear.“I’m just as stunned as you are,” I whispered.Elara rose to her feet and turned toward Kael, her expression hardening.“I heard you were trying to interfere in our family matters,” she snapped. “Well, this doesn’t concern you. You should leave. Now.”“You can’t…”Before I could finish, Kael gently covered my mouth with his hand.I blinked at him in surprise. He stared at Elara for several seconds before letting out a qu

Lisa's POVTwo stars shimmered side by side in the dark expanse of the night sky.Kael's face softened as he stared at them, a genuine smile slowly spreading across his lips. For some reason, seeing him so fascinated by the stars made me wonder what was going through his mind.I just hoped he wasn't thinking of those silly fairy tales where two stars supposedly represented two people who were in love.“You seem really happy about those stars,” I said.Kael glanced at me before returning his gaze to the sky.“When I was a kid, my mother used to tell me stories about the stars,” he said quietly. “She told me that whenever someone died, their soul would rise into the sky and become a star. She said that was how the dead could still watch over the people they loved.”His smile faded slightly.“I believed her completely, I never thought to question it. But I couldn't get the chance to ask what happens after they became star”I studied his face. His parents were still alive, so why had he n

Lisa’s POVShe leaned closer to me, her voice barely above a whisper.“Did Jade tell you why they took Wendy away from me?” she asked, sniffing as tears gathered in her eyes.My chest tightened.Jade had never told me the reason.I swallowed hard before pulling her into my arms. She broke down against my shoulder, sobbing uncontrollably as I gently rubbed her back.“You expect me to believe this nonsense?” Lucien’s voice suddenly cut through. “This could all be an act. Lisa would do anything to get my attention, and you honestly think cooking up a story like this will achieve that?”I clenched my jaw.And who wants your ridiculous attention? If it weren’t for Jade, do you think I’d even bother speaking up?Nyra advised. ‘Lisa, calm down. Ignore the fool’“We have no reason to lie about something this serious,” Kael said firmly.“You can lie!” Lucien snapped, his voice cold and accusing.“What exactly would we stand to gain from lying?” Kael challenged.Don’t bother, Kael. Stupidity ha

  • The Alpha Rejected Me, So I Became A Warrior    CHAPTER 76

Lisa’s POVThe moment the bell stopped ringing, Kael and I exchanged a glance before getting to our feet.Neither of us said a word.I followed him out of the spare room, and the moment we stepped into the corridor, we saw warriors hurrying toward the main hall from every direction. The entire compound was filled with restless whispers.“What happened?”“Did you hear that explosion?”“They said it came from the abandoned tent.”“I heard someone was inside.”My stomach tightened.Kael and I joined the stream of warriors heading toward the hall. The tension in the air was almost suffocating, and with every step, my heart pounded harder against my ribs.As soon as we entered the hall, I spotted Alpha Lucien standing at the center. His jaw was clenched, his expression dark as he stared at the gathered warriors.“I don't understand how that tent exploded.”His voice carried across the hall, immediately silencing the murmurs.“That place was supposed to be secured. No one was allowed anywhe
