Chapter 2

Hunter's POV 

I couldn't stop scowling at my best friend who is also my Beta as he keeps sucking his mate's face. They both look annoyingly in love with each other. I growl lowly to show my displeasure because my mom hate them making out on couch.

"Does Medline and I look this disgusting whenever we made out?" I asked Ava my Beta's mate

"Stop calling us disgusting Hunter " she rolled her eyes.

"Stop rolling your eyes babe, you know he is in love with us "Alexander smirked.

I was going to say something when my mom walked in with my beautiful mate I met few months ago when I traveled down to the human territory. She looked so cute with her wet hair. I thought of her as the most adorable human I've ever set my eyes on. I didn't know I was smiling till she pecked me.

" Hunter, why are you smiling like that? You look so weird" she laughed.

" Haha, I remembered the first time I told you that I am a werewolf. You thought I was joking till Xavier convinced me to show you that what we are."

"You really can't blame me, I thought werewolf does not exist. I thought you were a psychopath who wanted to kidnap me." She laughed out loud.

"I love it whenever she do that" my wolf Xavier said.

"Do what?" I asked.

"Laugh idiot. I love it whenever she laughs" he replied wagging his tail.

"How was shopping? Mom told me before you guys left that she is taking you to the mall."I faced my mate. I can never get tired of looking into her eyes.

"It was exhausting, I thought my leg was going to fall asleep. I enjoyed every bit of it though, at least till I started feeling I was going to faint " she answered.

My mom hearing what my mate said come out of the kitchen and smiles. She love my mate so much. When I found Madeline, I thought she was not going to accept her because she is human,but then she told me she doesn't care what she was that she only wants me to be happy. She told whoever care to listen that when I found my mate, she found the daughter she never had.

"I know you are exhausted darling, come let me run you a bath" she told Madeline and they both walk out of the room. I love their relationship, I'm glad my mom loves her. I looked at my Beta and his mate and cleared my throat. " Okay love bugs, time for work" I smirked.

They both groaned and sluggishly get off the couch. "Stop looking at me like I stole your last candy Ava, you guys are the second in command for a reason" I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever you say Alpha" Ava scoffed.

I love my best friends, Alexander and I have been friends since diaper and immediately he found his mate, I know I was going to love her as my little sister.

"You love me Ava, I am your mate best friend" I said dragging them both out of the house to check on the border patrol. 

"You know the pack look so peaceful because a certain redhead decided to visit their aunty in another pack" Ava said.

Alexander and I groaned "please let's not talk about her, she...."i was going to say something before Xavier interrupted

"Now you do not want to talk about her? I told you not to get together with her then didn't I? I told you to let us wait for our mate" he growled.

"I was going to wait for our mate but when she presented herself to me, I couldn't resist. She is not that bad and you know it" I told him

"She is not bad except for the fact that she is the pack slut. How did I get paired with stupid human like you? Sometimes, I wish I could kill you ". Xavier growled.

" Kill me genius, but I have to remind you that you and I are the same person. You are me and I am you" I chuckled. Xavier decided that he had enough of my foolishness and decided to tuck himself far at the back of my mind. My Beta gave me a knowing look "let me guess, you were having the same argument with your wolf, aren't you?" He asked.

"You know how Xavier is" I said rolling my eyes. I dated Ashley some years back before I met my mate and Xavier hated me for it. She thought she was going to be the Luna and rule the pack by my side till I told her we needed to break up and that I found my mate. At first she told me to reject her because she is human and that she is going to make the pack grow weak but I refused. Xavier wanted to kill her for telling us to reject our mate. When she saw that I was not going to do anything about it, she left the pack quietly said something about visiting her aunt in another pack. Nobody heard from her since then.

"You know I will be so mad if Alex did not wait for me"Ava said. " You are lucky your mate is human"she added.

"I know Ava, I know. I was stupid and naive and I didn't think much about waiting for my mate" I sighed.

"It's okay man, we all make mistakes. The best thing now is that you found your mate and you are treating her right" Alexander slapped my back.

"Thanks guys, I don't know what I will do without you both in my life" I smiles

" You will be lost....,

"Shut up Ava, I am your Alpha and you will talk to me with respect" I growled playfully.

We all laugh out loud as we make way to the pack border. I am really lucky to have them as my best friends.
