Kyle's POV.

After I bumped into Maggie at home, I returned to the office to get some papers that I had left behind since I needed to go through them. Arriving at the office, I saw a text from the council members that an emergency meeting has been arranged to hold this evening. I didn't know what they wanted to talk about and comfortable with the fact that it was just one of those meetings, I shrugged and headed to my office.

I instructed my secretary not to let anyone in until it's time for the meeting. So, when the members had convened in the great hall, she slipped into my office to inform me. I tossed on my jacket and headed there immediately. Not all members were present when I arrived but Mauris and Uncle Theon were already there, I sat at the far side of the table, not wanting to seat any where close to Mauris and his father.
