Sloane

Traitor? I looked at my brother as if he suddenly had two heads growing on his neck.

“Kris? What is going on, and why are you calling me a traitor?”

“Because you are one. You think I wouldn't know about the fraud?!” he shouted.

I shook with fright and tried to steady myself, staring at him. Pack members drew near, whispers sliding in from every angle. They all criticized me, insulted me more than they already did.

My mother walked straight to where Kris stood, both hands folded across her chest.

“Mom… what's going on?” I asked.

She said nothing to me. The same look was on her face as on Kris's. Kris took a step back, his mouth twisted in distaste. Just then, Kylie and Barry appeared in the midst of the council.

Everyone looked at me and called me names. “Traitor,” they said, while I fought for what was mine.

“I didn't think you would do this to me,” Kris said, voice breaking.

“I didn't do anything, you've got to believe me!” I cried.

“Shut it!” Mother snapped, and a loud slap hit my face. The sting flared across my cheek as I clung to composure.

“You shouldn't even speak, you worthless, shameless traitor!”

“You don't deserve to be here,” Kris added. I shook my head violently. My legs gave out and I fell to my knees and crawled toward him. The moment my hands brushed the edge of his trouser, he kicked me, sending me sprawling backward.

“Get your dirty hands away. You have brought disgrace upon Crimson Pack, Sloane. Even as a doctor of the pack, you missed the rights.”

“I didn't do anything.”

“So you mean the evidence is fake?”

“What evidence?”

“Get her out! She deserves to leave!” someone shouted from the crowd.

I couldn't blame them. This is what I’d reduced myself to…a mockery for everyone in the pack. They insulted me because I did not have a wolf yet.

They called me useless while my family just watched.

Now this. This hurt more than anything, and not one person stood up for me.

They all hated me for a reason I didn't know.

The tears I had wiped away earlier began to fall again as I sobbed, loud and ragged.

“I, Alpha Kris of the Crimson Pack,” he began.

I lay on the floor while they chastised me, listening to my last verdict. What was there to live for when no one came when I called for help? When I was nothing but a traitor to my own family? I closed my eyes and let every one of my brother's words pierce me.

“Exile you, Sloane Moon, from the Crimson Pack. Never show your face here again. Your services will no longer be needed in the pack’s hospital. Pack your things and leave the estate immediately, you are no longer part of the royal family.”

Life could be so uncanny. Have you ever heard of a princess stripped of her royal status? Today, I was that princess.

Hopeless.

Broken.

I looked up at my brother and my mother with the last strength I had, but they averted their eyes. Tears streamed down my face as security grabbed me and dragged me to the gates.

My legs scraped the rough ground while people hurled things and curses at me. I glanced back at Kylie and Barry. Their smiles were victorious. They had planned all of this and I am sure of it.

“Good riddance,” I heard Kylie say. What hurt most was that I had trusted her with my life. I had told her everything, about me and Barry's relationship.

I never lied to her. I never kept secrets. But she was the real devil.

They both were.

They threw me out of the gates and one of them hurled my phone at my face. The large gates slammed shut in front of me, the reverberation echoing coldly in the air.

Kylie and Barry stood inside, watching me through the gate openings. They mocked me, laughing their asses off as I begged my brother to open up for me.

After what felt like dying hours, Kylie spoke. “Once a lonely retch, always a lonely retch,” she said, and they both walked away.

That broke something in me. It unleashed something raw. It was more than pain. It was more than anything I had ever felt.

This was different…mixed with anger, a rumble from the pit of my stomach.

I watched them walk back into the estate, my eyes seething. How dare they? How dare they hurt me like this?

I was broken, yes. But the fact that I was broken made it hurt even worse. I could barely stand as I cried and cried, spilling everything. I clenched and unclenched my hands in anger, but really, what could I do?

Absolutely nothing.

The gate man stared at me with a blank expression. He spat at me, then went inside.

I don't deserve this pain. I have been through so much for them. I have sacrificed my life, training, and practice, letting myself be groomed to become the Moonseed. I endured the insults and pain they rained in me each day. I kept Barry as my boyfriend but he lied about how much he loved me. I loved him so much but I guess everything was a lie. It was a sham.

Yet this is how they treat me? They throw me away like trash. They curse at me and stone me with filthy water.

I swallowed roughly as bile rose in my throat and I spat blood into the street. I touched my chin and felt a fresh scratch, still bleeding. The road was dry and empty; not a single person stopped.

I picked up my phone, opened my contacts, and dialed the one number I knew would come to my aid.

The same person who had promised me protection years ago. My first love and my brother's best friend —

Dean.

Hunter “How could you do this, Mom?”“How could I do what? All I want is for my boys to leave that whore—”“Enough! I won't sit here and watch you call her that. Now listen to me and listen well…” My voice trailed, eyes wide with rage.“The next time you do this, I will personally leave. And don't—don't you ever call Sloane names. She has a name, and believe it or not, she means a lot to us.”I stood up, not waiting for her to say another word, and walked out. Lillian stood by the doorway and tried to call me back, but I didn't listen. What fueled me was rage, and I had to leave, stat.I walked right out of the hospital and to my car when I got a call from my brothers.“What's wrong? We just got your text. How's Mom?” Logan asked, his voice high-pitched.“She's fine. She lied about it. She actually caused her injury.”There was no response for a moment until Dean slowly asked, “What do you mean, caused her own injury?”“She fell down the stairs by herself. She needed the attention fr

Sloane “Die? What do you mean?”“We can explain more after you're healed,” Dean said as the brothers stood up from the edges of the bed.“Please stay here and rest. Don't even try to escape or we'll find you. You need to be with us, and no, we aren't leaving your side,” Hunter confirmed, and the other brothers nodded.I nodded and lay back on the bed. I didn't understand a thing they said. I thought being the MoonSeed would be different. Now this bond the four of us share is… it's stronger than ever.If so, that means it's stronger than a regular mate bond. This is bound by the moon goddess herself.I lay still and watched the triplets standing beside my bed, watching me. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep until I fell into darkness.—------------------------------------------Hunter“Do you think we should tell her the full story?”“We should,” Logan said immediately. I looked back at Sloane, who was already fast asleep. Her legs were spread out, hands under her head as she slept

Sloane “You want to tell me why? What else do you have to say this time?”“You need to come back.”I paused, looking at him to see if he was serious or joking, then burst into a fit of laughter. He must be joking, talking to me like that.“You're really funny, Logan. Really funny.”“I'm serious, Sloane.”A part of me sank when he didn't call me little one. I guess I was expecting that nickname.Fuck. You know what? I need a breather. This is just too much for me right now and my head feels like it's being hammered for some reason. I took painkillers but they're not working.I touched my head and pulled away from him. He let me go and stood there, watching me hold my head as I winced in pain.“You're starting to experience it.”“Experience what?”“The signs of withdrawal.”I looked at him like he was spitting trash, because that is exactly what he was spitting — trash, and I didn't have time to hear it.“I'm just really tired. I didn't sleep well last night.”“It's not just that. It's

  • The Alpha Triple Claim: Her MoonSeed Bond   Chapter 50 : Need to talk

SloaneI couldn't sleep last night, mostly because of the fight between Noah and Camilla and because I feared for my life. I was at work, yet my head still throbbed. I would take painkillers when I'm on a break. The knock on my office door came and I responded with a "come in." Lillian opened the door, popping her head inside. She greeted me with a smile, her hands on the door.“Sloane, may I come in?” she asked, and I nodded. To be honest, I didn't want to see her, but I couldn't exactly say that. Lillian is my boss, and since I would be seeing her often, it's best to act like everything was fine. She stepped in, hands at her sides. She had a peach gown on this time; it was so fitted it hugged her curves. How can she be so slim and thick at the same time? She had a beautiful body and she knew it by the way she carried herself.“I wanted to talk to you about something.”“Sure, what is it?”“I noticed you got Tracy moved from you to Helen as her doctor. I want to know why?”“Oh,” I sai

Sloane “I'm really sorry for bugging you but I'll be here for a few days.”“It's fine, really. I know you're hiding from them, but you can chill here however long you want,” Noah assured, smiling at me as she helped pack my things into her house. Her apartment was small but enough. I will stay here for a few days until I find a place and get out of here. Last night I had never cried like that before in my life…ever. But I did, and I had to leave. They didn't reject the bond even though I pleaded that they should. They just let me leave as if they'd been waiting for it.No one even called me back. You know what? I shouldn't think about them. Fuck them.Fuck you, Dean, Hunter, and Logan. I can definitely do without you three, and I don't give a flying fuck what happens between us. I would have left the pack, but I have my job at the hospital. I'm expecting my first paycheck; I'll use it and get my space.“Still thinking about them, huh?”“W-what?”“The triplets.”“Oh, no no, I'm not.”

  • The Alpha Triple Claim: Her MoonSeed Bond   Chapter 48 : Out of the contract

SloaneI booked an Uber and went home — if that's what I should even call it. The moment I got there, I removed my clothes, went down to the kitchen, and served myself a big bowl of ice cream and chocolate. I sat in my room, watching a rom-com while I cried my eyes out.Don't judge me. This is my therapy.Crying actually relaxes the nerves.A few minutes later, there was a knock on my door and then his voice, Hunter.“Sloane, please open the door,” he begged, but I didn't respond.“We need to talk, please.”“Go away! I don't want to see any of you,” I said.“We need to talk. You can't keep avoiding us, Sloane,” Dean said.“I don't want to listen to any of you. Just leave, please,” I begged this time.Thankfully, the sudden knocks stopped and I was finally able to finish my rom-com in peace.—----------------------------------------When I awoke, my head hurt so badly it felt like I had slammed it somewhere. I stood up from the bed and walked into the bathroom to pee. By the time I cam

Sloane When Gen said she needed to get something from the resort, I played dumb, acting like I just didn't see Nathan walk into the same building.
