Chapter Twelve

Helene

It's been six days—six whole days—since I've been locked in this room, and I was starting to hate this very much.

At this point, I no longer cared about what they intended to do with me because it didn't matter anymore. I just wanted to know once and for all what their plans were so I'd know what to expect instead of hoping that, by some miracle, they were stalling because they had plans to let me go.

Owen already informed me yesterday that someone was finally going to come to see me today after I asked him why no one had visited in the last few days. According to him, they had more urgent matters to attend to, so they postponed my verdict but would be resuming today.

I hoped that the Alpha wouldn't show up because I didn't think he and I could hold an actual conversation without getting irritated by each other, and I also didn't want to waste my time today.
