Lucas was engrossed in his work when the door to his office burst open, startling him. Ava stormed in with a fiery determination, her presence unexpected. He hadn't seen her since the day she had angrily cleared his table and stormed out of his life.

Her unannounced entrance caught him off guard, but he maintained a calm and composed demeanor, masking his surprise.

With a raised eyebrow, Lucas regarded Ava, his gaze unwavering. "Ava," he said, his tone gentle and inquiring. "I haven't seen you in a while. How have you been? Is there something I can help you with?"

Ava ignored his pleasantries, her demeanor rigid and unyielding. She wasted no time in getting to the point. "I need a car, Lucas. Get one ready for me," she demanded, her voice curt and commanding.
