Chapter Six

I was in the kitchen early the next morning, having tossed and turned all night I decided I might as well just get up. I looked out the window and saw the dawn slowly begin spread across the landscape, freshly fallen snow glistened from the night before, and I smiled. This place was beautiful. I turned my attention back to my simple breakfast of oatmeal and toast, sitting down at the table to enjoy them and the early morning solitude. Unfortunately, this also gave me time to ponder Nick and his strange actions last night.

With an exhausted sigh, I ate my breakfast in silence. I wanted Nick to want me, but I wasn’t entirely sure that his actions were because he did want me, but because of Kian’s presence and my ill hid interest in him. After last night, I was especially interested in seeing a little more Kian, I was ok with casual hook-ups, but I was beginning to want more. The past few relationships I had had helped to clear that up a little for me. I wanted to settle down,
