Despite the softness of his voice I didn’t say my name. For all I knew he would try to drag me back to Shadowmoon kicking and screaming. Although, he didn’t smell like that place. “I’m not here to hurt you, do you want me to take you home?” William said the softness of his voice deepening which each word. I shook my head and replied “home is not safe, maybe you could take me away from the woods and I can find somewhere to go.” William tilted his head, probably weighing up if I was a danger. I made eye contact, trying to look as innocent as possible. He slowly nodded his head almost as if he was done thinking. “Okay, I will take you out of the forest but at least let me take you to my home to clean up and money for the road. I can’t, in good conscience, drop you off somewhere alone dirty and unable to get food or shelter.” He rushed to say, almost like he was trying not to say the last part. He slowly reached out his hand for me to grab, I accepted and let him help me up. As my hand touched his I felt energy travel up my arm. I swayed as I stood, not only from the exhaustion but the energy made me lightheaded. He steadied me and nodded his head to follow him. William POV My hand still tingling after touching her I indicated the direction we need to go to get to the pack cars. As she dusted off her dress I linked with Ashton to let him know that I found a women in bad condition and that I was taking her back to the pack cars and taking her home to Nightnorth. I also asked how the hunt was going. “We lost them, they must have shifted into human form and their scents got mixed in with the others.” Ashton responded with remorse in his voice. Shit, I had to get us out of the forest to regroup and help the mystery woman on her way. We started walking in complete silence towards Silvermoon towards where our car was. As we drew closer I could hear her breathing change, like she was going to hyperventilate. “Help her!” Mars shouted in my mind. I turned around and held her arms by her side. “You’re safe now, we are going to my car. Its just parked near Silvermoon house that’s all.” I didn’t want to say pack as I did not know if she was wolf or not, I knew nothing about her apart from Mars demanding we help her. She looked at me suspiciously, she didn’t know if she could trust me. Understandable seeing as all she knew was my name and I wanted to help. I looked her over and noticed that there was no more blood on her dress meaning the blood was not her own. She looked away and looked to move forward, whatever she was running from must be bad enough to let a complete stranger guide her to a getaway car. Once we got to the car I saw that Ashton was back in her car, already running looking at me quizzically. “She is just coming to the pack house to change and I will give her money and she will be on her way. I couldn’t just leave her there.” I said into Ashtons mind. I didn’t include that it was Mars who demanded this and felt drawn to her but would not tell me why. Ashton just signed and turned the car lights on, I opened the back door for my mystery lady. Gently closing it behind her, up I walked around the car and sat at the back with her. Despite not thinking she would/could do anything to us, I did not want both of us to have our backs to her. “This is Ashton, he is my friend. You are safe with us. If you could at least just tell me your name so you’re not just called woman or lady.” I whispered to her. She looked down and almost inaudibly whispered “Spencer.”Spencer POV William brought me to the hospital to see Margot. Every step I took felt weaker than the last and the weight in my chest got heavier with every breath. Then, Williams steps stoped abruptly. There was a guard posted in front of the door, he bowed his head to William and eyed me with a mix of curiosity and suspicion. William nodded his head once, indicating that I was allowed to be here as the guard moved to the side letting us reach the door. William turned to me and did that this was where Margot was. My breathe caught in my throat, I was touched that he had someone stand guard to protect her in death. I took a shaky step towards the door, my grip on Williams hand tightened. Just as my hand touched that handle, William placed his hand over mine and gently pushed it down, opening the door to sweet Margot. My vision blurred a I saw her pale tiny form on the table. The sheet over her body and a pillow under her head gave the illusion that she was sleeping. I walked to her
William POV I walk into hotel lobby, two coffees in hand, waiting for Spencer to come down. I was dressed in my usual clothing but I had taken time while waiting in the coffee shop to make my hair look better. After the images earlier I didn’t want us seeing eachother to be awkward. The elevator pinged and the doors opened, my jaw hit the floor as I saw Spence. She was dressed in a flowy striped dress, showing all colours of the rainbow. We didn’t pick this up together and it isn’t something that Olive would have picked. “I hope you’re planning on changing, when I said Margot loved colour I meant bright not navy.” Spencer said with a stern look. “I was planning on changing when we got back home. Wanting your opinion on what would be best. Anyway, I thought that you might need a coffee.” I said raising my hand, offering her the coffee. Spence took the coffee from my hand, our fingertips grazing as the cup transferred from my hand into hers. Despite the touch being minute, the spa
William POV Ashton walked into the kitchen, yawning ash he waved good morning. His hair still tousled from a restless night sleep. Turning around I grabbed a mug and filled it with the dark amber liquid a live, otherwise known a coffee, before handing it to his outstretched hand. “Any update on why or how Daniel’s house was alight?” He asked as he finished his yawn “No, if there has been any new information it has not been passed along to me.” I replied with a shrug. “Have you managed to talk to Spencer about how and when to lay Margot to rest? People are asking and want to pay they respects.” Ashton asks between sips of coffee while taking a seat at the breakfast bench in the kitchen. “No, I haven’t rung her yet. I at least wanted her to have a peaceful morning before I ruined it.” I responded, not mentioning the text she had accidentally sent me that woke me up better than any caffeine could have. “Well its 11am now. Might be a good idea to call her and discuss arrang
Spencer POV Checking behind me every so often, ensuring that I was not being stalked, I followed the glimmering rope, using it as a guide. Praying that the Moon Goddess was not leading me astray, between the two building the alley led to a forest. Despite the trauma that I have associated with forests and woods, my heart was as steady as a drum. Leading me to believe that I was doing the right thing. The light led me to a well-worn path, indicating that it was usually heavily trafficked. However, due to the current time it was as empty as my heart after my mother passed. I continued to trust the Goddess path as well as trusting my gut, nothing felt strange, so I focused on the journey. As well as intermittently checking behind, ensuring that no one was lurking in the shadows. My phone beeped from within my bag, scaring me half to death. Taking another look around, I stopped walking and groped in my bag for the device. Once retrieved, I saw it was a message from Olive. ‘Hot dam
William POV The sound of my phone vibrating stirs me from my slumber, checking the time I see that it is 5 am. Debating going back to sleep, I see that there is a text from Spencer I sit up and open the message. ‘Hey Olive, I know this is strange but I have never been with a man before and I don’t know if I am considered attractive. I am not looking for a boyfriend or anything I am just curious and didn’t have anyone else to ask.’ Below the message there was a picture of Spencer in just her underwear, the underwear I had picked out during out shopping trip. I feel my blood go south, making my cock ache needing to see this in person, to be able to run my hands up and down her. Yet my head knew that I was not meant to receive this text and felt like I should delete it by I found myself unable to. Shaking my head I look at my hardened dick say “This was not meant for you, even if it is enjoyable.” I find myself typing back to her. ‘I know this wasn’t meant for me but I thou
Spencer POV The whip came down on my exposed back, slicing through layers of skin for the fourth time so far. I hear myself scream without permission which earns me another strike. Muffled cries of the girls around me are almost inaudible, acting like as background noise to my torture. I wake up, covered in sweat and my back is still stinging as if I was just whipped again. Jumping out of bed I run to the bathroom and lift up the back of my top to check my back for new marks. I know that it was a dream but the pain was real. Once I have established that there are no new marks I move my top back down and look at myself in the mirror. My eyes are glassy like I was about to cry in my sleep, deciding that I am up for the day. Not wanting to subject myself to another nightmare, I turn on the shower wanting to wash away the memories. As the water heats up, I grab some clothes from my wardrobe and place them on the towel warmer then I remove my pyjamas and enter the shower. As I start
