Spencer POV

Olive led me to her room, I could sense she was not comfortable around me but was trying to hide it. Each room and corridor was beautifully decorated; I was immediately envious of the life they had here. William and his family must be rich seeing as he was so openly giving away his sister's clothes and giving me money.

The maze of corridors seemed to end as Olive opened the door leading to her room. Cautiously walking inside, I was greeted by warm yellow lights, soft pink curtains, a four-poster bed with sheer drapes neatly tied around the posts, a plush carpet that sunk under my feet. To the side of the room there were two doors, one open leading to a bathroom and just as I was questioning what the other led to Olive opened it and it was a walk-in wardrobe.

“You are slimmer than me but I’m sure we will find you something suitable, come look I promise I don’t bite.” Olive said with humour in her tone.

Forcing a smile on my face I enter the wardrobe, my jaw dropped seeing the beautiful clothes inside. Rows and rows of clothes and at the end a dresser, she opened the dresser and pulled out a pair of pale blue pyjamas. Then she grabbed a pair of black yoga pants and a sweatshirt and handed them to me.

“I can run and get you underwear tomorrow before you leave. Towels are in the bathroom, once you are done, I’ll take you to your room.” With that Olive left the room, giving me privacy.

I entered the bathroom, turned on the shower, and slipped my dress off the bottom making a crunching noise as the dried bloom flaked off. After months of being forced to wear it, I felt liberated, like I had finally escaped Silvermoons prison. I just had to make sure I stayed free so I could save those still trapped within.

Letting the water cascade down my hair and body the water at the bottom turned a dull red, the blood and mud mixing together and being washed away as if they had never been there. Sadly, the memories of what happened will never be forgotten. Tears pricked the corners of my eyes, relief flooding through me.

Once the water ran clear I stepped out and wrapped a towel around my hair and body. Using my hand, I wiped mist from the mirror and looked at myself. The women who greeted me was a stranger, she had my eyes but everything else had changed. The scraps of food given had made me look emaciated almost child like, I removed my towel and saw every rib, turning to see my back I saw then ridges of my spine and pale scars running across them.

“Please stop, I didn’t do anything!” I screamed.

*WHOOSH… CRACK*

The whip sped down on my bare back, the blinding pain consuming me once again. The masked man continued another four times before he finally stepped away and left the room. I didn’t move for ten minutes fearing he would come back. Still shackled to the wall I got to my feet and moved back to the wall, careful not to let the wounds touch the cold stone.

Wiping my tears with the back of my hand, I vowed to make them all pay one day.

“Spencer, is everything okay? You’ve been in there a while, are you hungry I can go and get you something from the kitchen.” Olive's voice drew me back to reality, thinking back to earlier when I ripped the guard's heart out. I definitely made him pay, one down what feels like a million to go.

“Spencer? Everything okay?” Olive asked with concern.

Hearing her begin to open the door I replied “yes, I’m just getting dressed. If you are getting something for you then I can eat, if not I’ll be okay.”

“I’ll meet you in your room, it’s up the stairs first door on your left.” Olive said as her voice began to fade as she walked away.

The pyjamas felt so soft against my scarred skin the shorts long enough to cover the scars at the tops of my thighs and thankfully the top had short sleeves meaning it covered all the scars on my back. Taking the towel from my hair, I used the brush from the cabinet to detangle my hair. Placing the towels into the hamper along side my dress I left Olive's bathroom, taking one final look to make sure I haven’t left anything behind.

Turning right I begin to climb the stairs, the warm lights continued up the stairs, sconces lighting the way to the next floor. Shit, did she say left or right? I should have paid more attention.

Unsure which to go to, I opened the door to the right. The room was dimly lit the only light coming from the bathroom, once my eyes adjusted, I saw William leaving his bathroom in only a towel.

Spencer POVErling nodded his head, accepting Hanz into our conversation.William explained to Hanz and Penelope what we were talking about and what we need them to do, William gave Hanz the option to step out while I showed my scars but he shook his head stating that he needed to see what his people may have gone through.“I took beatings and torture to keep the others as safe as I could but I couldn’t shield them from everything and I am eternally sorry for that.” I said, grabbing his hand.Telling go of Hanz hand, I turned around and held my breasts, asking William to lift the back of my shirt.I heard Erling, Penelope and Hanz gasp at the sight, William’s hand on my shirt was shaking with rage at seeing them again.“Penelope, could you please tell me how Spencer got those and where?” Erling asked.“I need to touch them to do that, do I have your permission, Spencer?” “Yes, do whatever you need to do in order to tell him about them.” I said, just wanting this to be over with but

Spencer POVThe tears on my face were making their way down to my neck but I didn’t wipe them away, I allowed them to flow just like I did when I carried Margot. I cant believe that Margot was Hanz cousins baby, she was so sweet and I was glad that I could give him some closure in regards to her.Hanz was holding on to his cutlery so hard that I thought it would snap in half, without thinking, I made my way around the table and held Hanz. I focused on joy and love as I held him, I could feel my hands begin to warm up and Hanz relaxed into my arms.“How did you do that? I was ready to climb over the table and stab Alpha Simon but now I am more relaxed.” Hanz asked looking at me.“The reason I was taken by Silvermoon is because I am a witch and they hoped that I would work with them. When I refused they tortured me hoping that I would break, I never did and one of three guards paid the price when I ripped his heart out the day I escaped.” I told him, not worried about scaring him anymor

William POVSeeing Spencer talk to Alpha Simon the way she did made me so damn proud of her but part of me did wish that she physically hurt him alittle.I was still smiling when I returned to the table, Ashton looked up at me concerned before asking what happened. I told him what Spencer said to Alpha Simon and that his verbally assailed him. Ashton high fived her before pulling her in for a hug. Hanz looked at us confused at us being proud of her attacking Alpha Simon.“I think I am missing something here, what did that bastard do to you guys to hate him as much as I do?” He asked. The three of us looked at him in shock, not knowing that he also hated Silvermoon and their Alpha.“If I tell you why then you need to tell us. I can pretty much guarantee that ours is worse, you will need to finish your breakfast before I tell you my story.” Spencer said.I pulled her chair closer to mine so I could whisper in her ear asking if she was sure, she looked at me and shrugged her shoulders.

Spencer POVMaking our way down to the ball room for breakfast was less nerve wracking than last night. We were still laughing about Violet last night when we ran into Alpha Hanz.“Is Violet joining us this morning?” Ashton asks as they make eye contact.“Actually, I sent her home after last night. I could not in good faith let her stay after the way she was looking at Spencer and talking about her.” He admitted looking alittle sheepish.“Well, you didn’t need to do that but I do appreciate it. Please sit with us, I don’t want you to be alone.” William said as he shook Alpha Hanz hand.Alpha Hanz nodded, accepting the invitation. The ball room had been transformed from last night, this morning lay long tables with buffet food on them and the option for fresh food to be cooked. The circular tables had been removed and rectangle ones replaced them, allowing more people to sit together.William grabbed my hand and pulled me to a stop as Ashton and Hanz made their way to a table.“I thin

Spencer POVWilliam finished his tea and turned out the lights so that we were watching the TV in the dark. My eye lids get heavier, the day seemingly endless. Noticing my blinks getting longer, he turned it TV off and lifted his arm so I could sleep on his chest.Breathing in his coffee and cedar scent, relaxed my entire body and the movement of his chest sent me to sleep. The next thing I knew I was waking up to the light shining though the curtains, it was the next day and time for us to speak to Erling about Silvermoon and I’m not sure if I am ready for that.William started to wake up next to me, his breathing becoming faster as he woke up. His eyes were full of sleep but he smiled at me. He was lying on his front with his arm draped over me.“Good morning darling, I see you managed to keep your hands to yourself last night.” He joked before kissing me good morning.“I would say the same about you but your hand is currently resting on my boob.” I said looking down at his massive

William POVOnce I knew Spencer trusted me again, I could finally fully relax. Leaving her to get our night time up of tea was torturous because I knew Alpha Simon was lurking somewhere. I linked with Ashton to stand guard outside her room so that he could not get to her as I made her tea just the to she liked it. Ashton had arrived to our door before I left the room, the look he gave me was a mix of love and anger.‘Why are you leaving her alone in a room? I could have made the tea you dipshit.’ He said though the link.‘I didn’t think until I linked with you, I already ask so much of you I didn’t want you to think I see you as a servant. This way you are just doing your Beta duty and your big brother duty.’ He chuffed at me and cut off the link as the kettle in the kitchen finished boiling. The routine of making a cup of tea was so therapeutic and calming. After adding the perfect amount of sugar and milk and satisfied with the colour, I searched the cupboards or an unopened packe
