Louis’s POV…….

The celebration was already in full swing by the time I stepped back into the courtyard.

Music. Laughter. Lanterns glowing like fireflies. Wolves dancing, drinking, and howling at the sky. It was warm, alive, everything this pack had been starving for.

But all the noise only made me feel… strange.

Unsteady.

Because I wasn’t part of this pack. Not truly. Not yet. I was a guest, an outsider, a wandering Alpha with a baby strapped to my chest and far too many ghosts buried in my hea

  • The Alpha king and the Hunt   Chapter 067: Spend a day with us

Aria’s POVNorth led us through a part of the fortress I’d never seen before. We passed through two guarded corridors before he stopped in front of what looked like an ordinary stone wall.He pressed his palm against a particular section. There was a click and then the wall shifted and a hidden doorway opened.I stared at it “You have secret doors?”North glanced at me “You’re surprised?”“Yes.”“You’ve been in my territory for less than a day.”“And I’ve already discovered that you’re insane, controlling, secretive, and apparently obsessed with hidden rooms.”His mouth twitched. “Come on.”We stepped inside and a narrow staircase led downward. The further we went, the colder it became. Finally, we reached a large underground chamber. It looked almost like an attic buried beneath the ground.Old wooden beams crossed the ceiling and dust covered several shelves, there were ancient boxes, broken furniture and old weapons stacked against the walls.I looked around. “This is where you hid

  • The Alpha king and the Hunt   Chapter 066: Come back to me

Aria’s POVNorth finished speaking and the dining hall was quiet, nobody touched their food anymore and Nyra looked shaken.Caelum had his arms crossed over his chest, his expression was thoughtful and North looked like the weight of the entire world was sitting on his shoulders.I stared at him for a moment and then I leaned forward. “North.”His eyes moved to me. “You need to listen to us.”His jaw tightened. “I’ve heard enough.”“No.”He raised an eyebrow and I shook my head. “You haven’t.”Nyra looked at me and I continued.“You told us what happened to your family and you told us why you turned this place into a military fortres, I understand why you’re suspicious.”North remained silent. “But you need to understand why we’re here.”Caelum nodded. “We’re not looking for the Worldstone for ourselves.”Nyra started explaining everything to him, about her cursed mark and all the attacks, the Evil Alpha and the ancient history behind the Worldstone. She even spoke about Princess F

  • The Alpha king and the Hunt   Chapter 065: A whole new battlefield

North’s POVI watched them sit around my dining table.Caelum, Nyra and Aria.Three strangers who had somehow walked into my territory carrying a secret that had been buried for years. The cursed wolf and a piece of the Worldstone along with a mission that sounded dangerously familiar.I looked at Nyra. She was sitting beside Caelum, quiet but alert. Then my eyes moved to Aria.My mate. She was eating breakfast while pretending I didn’t exist, I almost smiled at her antics but the sight of Nyra brought back memories I had spent years trying to bury.Memories of fire and blood and screaming and a small stone that had changed everything.Years ago…I was younger, not really a child, but not yet the Alpha I was now, our territory had been peaceful. My father was Alpha and my mother was the Luna. And my older brother was preparing to take his place beside our father, we weren’t the strongest pack and we weren’t the richest either but we were safe.At least, that’s what we believed unti

  • The Alpha king and the Hunt   Chapter 064: Determine the outcome

Nyra’s povI couldn’t sleep, I had tried and I had closed my eyes and even turned onto my side.Nothing worked, my mind refused to quiet down. There was too much happening, we had found the second kingdom and we had been arrested.Aria had somehow found her mate who was the Alpha here, North was terrifying and, most importantly, I was still the cursed wolf everyone was searching for.I turned my head and Caelum was lying on the other side of the room, staring at the ceiling.“You’re still awake.”His eyes moved toward me. “So are you.”“I can’t sleep.”“Neither can I.”Silence settled between us.The room was quiet except for the faint sounds of the fortress outside.I could hear footsteps and guards changing shifts.Everything reminded me that we weren’t exactly guests. We were prisoners who had been temporarily treated well.I sighed. “What do you think we’ll do tomorrow?”Caelum turned onto his side. “North said he’d help us.”“If he keeps his word.”“He seems like a man who does

  • The Alpha king and the Hunt   Chapter 063: My mate is a psycho

Aria’s POV“You’re a psycho.”North didn’t even blink. “I’ve heard that so many times before.”“And a controlling psycho.”“Probably.”“And a—”I didn’t want to bicker with him anymore, I turned around and ran away from him.I made it approximately three steps before a pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist.“No! Let me go!!”My feet left the ground as he picked me like a rag doll “North let go of me!”He swung me over his shoulder like I weighed absolutely nothing and I screeched.“PUT ME DOWN!”He started walking. “North!”Nothing.“Put me down!”Still nothing.I pounded my fists against his back. “You cannot just carry people around like luggage!”“You were running away and you’re not just anyone, you’re my mate.”“Because you’re insane!”He continued walking and I tried kicking him, he tightened his hold on my legs and my treacherous wolf whined and tried to lean into the touch. Whore I whispered, she rolled her eyes at me “Stop wobbling around or I may be tempted to make

  • The Alpha king and the Hunt   Chapter 062: Stay with me for the Worldstone

Aria’s POVI was going to kill him.Actually, no.I was going to kill the Moon Goddess first. Then I would kill North.Because apparently, the easiest way to stop a room full of powerful wolves from tearing each other apart was to make me shift and run away like some kind of sacrificial distraction. The psychopath had actually made me shift just to stop hell from breaking loose. And now he was chasing me.I ran through the forest as fast as my legs could carry me.Branches slapped against my face and leaves scratched my sides. The cold night air rushed through my fur.Behind me, I heard him following me, his paws pounded against the ground. He’s catching up, my wolf said.“I know!”He’s fast.“I noticed!”I pushed myself harder and the forest blurred around me.For a few seconds, I thought I might actually lose him. Then I heard a deep growl behind me.My ears flattened and I glanced over my shoulder.Big mistake.A massive black wolf was already almost on top of me. “Seriously?!”I

Aria’s POV......The moment they came in, the world tilted.Kael’s arms were slick with blood, and Kaelen—my Kaelen—was looking emotionless and pale.
