“Shut up and sit like the pretty maid that you are. Know your place and remain there,” he growled.

He didn't let me finish.

Fine. Jason. Fine.

I stared at him for a few seconds before rolling my eyes and looking out the window.

Surprisingly, we were already pulling into the Alpha's castle.

The car soon rolled to a stop in front of the house and I hopped out of the car, wanting to get away from Jason as soon as possible before my anger hit the ceiling, but the elegance I had imagined while exiting the car wasn't exactly how it happened and from how I overstepped, the next thing I knew the world was tilting to the side and I fell face first on the ground.

“Oww,” I groaned and rubbed my palm flat on my nose to ease the pain.

Jason chuckled and Clara snorted as they walked past me.

“Competence indeed,” Jason said under his breath but clear enough for me to hear.

He was mocking me.

“Yeah, thanks for your help,” I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes before helping myself up.
