“Are you sure you’re okay?” Blaze’s broad hand shifted to the base of her spine. Lilith closed her eyes and took a steadying breath before slowly re-focusing on Blaze’s face. “I’m okay.” He stepped up onto the first step so they were face to face before lowering his forehead to hers. “If you don’t feel okay, let me know. I will ask Raine to drop by and give you a check-up.” Lilith shook her head gently and pulled away just far enough so she could meet his stare. “I’m fine.” With a nod, Blaze took her hands and lifted her fingers to his lips for a quick, hard kiss. “If you say so.” Impulse to reassure him drove Lilith to lean in and take his mouth in a quick kiss which made Blaze crave for more. But, Lilith pulled back with a chuckle.Settling his hands on her hips, Blaze turned her around and urged her up the two steps again. Lilith let him propel her forward. Together, they sat down on the couch to watch ‘The Sea Beast’ after browsing through the recent movies which have just
Blaze rolled over in time to see a naked ass – a very fine naked ass – disappear into his bathroom for the third day in a row. She’d stayed in his bedroom since their movie date. He’d gone to the pack house to do his work every morning. He was home earlier too. He was so smitten by her that he couldn’t bear to stay away from her for long.He was totally gone on her and loving every minute he was spending with her. There was no denying that. He now got what his mated friends meant when they used to talk about being with their destined mates.Speaking of minute, he glanced at the clock and winced. It was a few minutes after five. In the morning, no one should have to get up this damn early.Groaning, he flipped onto his back and flung an arm over his eyes to block the bathroom light. The disturbed air brought with it the faint hint of an enticing scent from her side of the bed. From her side of the bed, he thought. He liked how that sounded. He rolled over again, burying his face in her
This morning, Lilith woke up feeling a cold space beside her. Blaze had already left for the pack house. Judging how cold the empty space beside her was, Lilith could tell that it’s been an hour or so since he had left. Unlike the previous nights, Blaze just held her as she snuggled against him last night. They just lay in each other's arms. While Lilith felt soothing with him holding her, Blaze felt his wolf instantly calm down as soon as he had Lilith in his arms. With a faint and weak smile tugging at her lips, she got up and prepared herself for the day. The day that they both have been waiting for, was here. It was dreadful to even think about it but there was no escaping it now. Lilith would be introduced to the pack by tonight or perhaps by this evening. Yet, she wasn't as mentally and physically prepared to face the pack and her former Alpha. The same Alpha who banished her from the pack months ago and the same Alpha whose son dared defy him by keeping her here. She feared
Lilith's stomach launched itself into her throat as if it had been emergency ejected when the vampire's head turned towards the house. She swiftly spun around to hide from view. She gasped when her back ended up hitting the wall beside the window. The cold surface pressing against her back made it hard for her to think. She felt cold yet hot. She was afraid. She couldn’t avoid from stressing out when a vampire was watching the house. Anxiety made it much harder for her to articulate her thoughts. She started pacing around and gazed up at the clock to find that it was fifteen minutes past ten. If the vampires reached the pack at this time, they must have been scouting the pack borders from outside the territory since last night. How did no one notice them or sense them by the pack borders? How did they even manage to cross the pack borders? As long as Lilith could remember, those places were heavily guarded from each side. The pack always had more warriors guarding the south side
Blaze zipped by so fast; he was in front of the asshole that dared cross his path within seconds. His fingernails had elongated into thinner and sharper claws than before. It didn't help that Blaze could recognize this person with just his voice. It was someone whom he never wanted to meet ever again. He was someone whom Blaze despised. Meeting his eyes with a firm gaze, Blaze growled out, "You made a mistake coming back here, Jayden." Jayden's eyebrows shot up. Perhaps he was surprised or was just pretending to be surprised after hearing Blaze's warning. "So what do you say?" Jayden asked, completely disregarding Blaze's warning. "What do you want me to tell him? Take her or kill her?" Blaze clenched his teeth together, seething with silent anger. Jayden's eyes trailed down, stopping briefly to take a look at Blaze's claws before glancing back up at his fangs which were more than ready to bite Jayden's head off his neck. Instead of feeling the fear which one would most probably
"How dare you attack your Alpha?" Blaze forced out through gritted teeth. Out of breath, his face had turned red in anger as he struggled to breathe. A self-satisfied smirk slowly took shape on Aria's face. "I don't have anything against you. I hate that bitch. Your only mistake is that you're her mate." Aria shrugged nonchalantly as if she wasn't at all terrified of the consequences for attempting to kill her Alpha. "Leave me or -""Or?" Aria raised an inquiring eyebrow at him. "Or it won't be good for you." Blaze growled out. His eyes flashed electrifying blue. He clenched his fingers tightly. His nails grew back into claws and his canines extended. No matter how much he tried to hold his wolf in, Bash kept pounding on the walls caging him to the back of his mind. He was more than ready to snap the neck of this bitch but Blaze didn't want her to die this easily. She should be punished for even thinking about killing both her Alpha and her future Luna. Aria tightened her finge
Blaze growled menacingly at everyone who dared approach his house but they kept nearing it.Fighting and killing every vampire and rogue who tried to break into his house, Blaze stood his ground, with his chest heaving, and guarded his house to prevent anyone from entering, “She’s my mate. She will stay here with me forever. You’ll have to kill me first to have her.”Seeing Blaze take a firm and defensive stance in front of his house to block anyone who tried to get through, Cole stated, “Fine! If that’s what you want, that’s what you’ll get.”“No one shall help him!” Cole declared, stopping Trevor from taking another step towards Blaze.Trevor’s face twisted in agony, torn between his pack’s principles and his best friend. He wanted to support Blaze. After all, Blaze wasn’t at fault in all of this. His unfortunate fate was to be blamed. If only Lilith wasn’t the pack sigma, all of this wouldn’t have been happening. He wasn’t ready to watch his best friend fighting a coven of vampires
By now, all the pack members were there. Yet, no one did something to help their Alpha. Blaze wasn't even in the right state of mind to even shout out a command. "Raine!" Lilith yelled out for her as she furiously wiped the lone tear rolling down her cheek. This wasn't a moment to cry. Blaze needed her. Ignoring the spiteful look Cole threw her way, Raine rushed to check on Blaze. After a while of examining his wound, she shook her head, deep in thought. Lilith frowned when Raine just stayed still for a minute. "Do something!" Lilith's voice pulled Raine out of her train of thoughts. "We need to get him to the hospital. The silver has already gotten into his heart." Raine explained. Trevor couldn't just stand there anymore and do nothing. He couldn't help Blaze fight those enemies but he would at least see to it that he gets treated. He failed as a Beta to protect his Alpha but he wouldn't accept failing as a friend. He gave Lilith a helping hand to lift Blaze up. Lilith pres
