Chapter 37 - Determination

It took a good minute for my eyes to adjust itself to the poorly dim room. The throbbing in my skull didn’t help one bit in making me feel better. 

I don't think I would have woken up just yet if not for the bantering whispers that gradually increased in its tone second by second.

Who even was it?

I was about to groan, shifting my body so that my back hitted the bed, only for a very low shush to freeze me in my spot. 

I locked my eyes to the door facing me. Still laying on my side as I tried to decipher who it was.

It was… Emile? What was he doing here in this room?
