Ragnar

The conference hall smelled of old stone, smoke, and stubborn tradition.

Elders filled the long table on both sides, gray hair, hard faces, heavy rings flashing under torchlight. Their murmurs bounced off the walls like flies I couldn’t swat away.

I sat at the head. Where an Alpha belonged. Elbows on the armrest. Fingers still. Expression colder than steel.

They talked. They always talked. “SilverShade needs stability.”

“The pack needs gentleness.”

“You cannot rule with strength alone, Ragnar.”

My jaw tightened. Here it comes.

“You need a Luna.”

I didn’t blink. “I govern just fine.”

Elder Markus leaned forward. “Peace is not built with fear alone.”

“Fear works,” I muttered.

“It breeds rebellion,” another snapped. “ A Luna softens the people. She balances the Alpha. She gives the pack hope.”

Hope? Useless thing! Hope got wolves killed.

“We have a candidate,” Elder Clara added carefully. “Cassandra.”

Of course. Always Cassandra.

“She is strong. Noble blood. Loyal to SilverShade. She would unite the warriors and the civilians. The pack already sees her as your match.”

“My match?” I gave a dry laugh. “She’s a childhood friend.”

“Then it is perfect.”

“It is political,” Markus corrected. “And it's necessary.”

“I said no!” The word cracked through the chamber.

Several elders stiffened. “You’ve ruled alone for five years,” Clara said. “That ends now. Before the next full moon, you will choose a Luna.”

“Or?” I asked quietly.

Their eyes hardened. “Or the council will choose for you.”

My wolf stirred. Bane growled low inside my chest. Let them try.

I stood. The chair scraped against stone like a blade being drawn. “No one chooses for me.”

Without waiting for dismissal, I walked out. The doors slammed behind me.

The corridor was quieter. Cooler and better. I exhaled slowly, rolling the stiffness from my shoulders.

A Luna.

They wanted softness beside me. Warmth and comfort. They didn’t understand. Comfort weakens a leader.

Then….My steps slowed.

She sat alone near the far wall. Scrubbing the marble floor. Her head down, chains around her wrists. Bruises on her skin.

Seraphina.

Most slaves begged, cried, and broke. But she didn’t.

My eyes narrowed, interesting.

Don’t, Bane warned.

I ignored him. If the elders wanted a Luna so badly…Why not choose the one wolf that would make them choke on their own demands? A fallen Luna. A slave. A symbol of disgrace. No noble blood, no politics, no control. Just perfect.

This is foolish, Bane growled. She’s Crescent Moon.

Exactly.

Before I could think further.. “Alpha!” I heard fast footsteps. Rowan, breathing hard. “Emergency.”

“What?” I asked.

“The Crescent Moon sent a message.”

My mood darkened instantly. “Speak.”

“They found the real murderer.” My gaze snapped to him. “They say the former Luna… Seraphina… is innocent.”

The hall felt colder.

Rowan continued, “They’re demanding her return.”

I said nothing.

“They’re offering an exchange,” he added carefully. “All captured SilverShade wolves from the last war. Every prisoner. For her.”

For her? My eyes drifted back to the girl on her knees, scrubbing blood stains from stone like she didn’t exist.

Crescent Moon suddenly wanted her back. After stripping her wolf. After selling her, after branding her. Now she had value again.

Disgust twisted in my chest. They didn’t want justice. They wanted their property returned.

“She’s theirs,” Rowan said quietly. “Politically… it might be smarter to…”

“No.” The word cut him off.

Rowan blinked. “Alpha…”

“I said no.”

He stared at me like he’d misheard.

“Send her back and they win,” I continued. “They think they can command us? Trade with us? Like we’re merchants?”

My hands curled. The last war flashed in my head. Blood, smoke. My father falling. Crescent Moon banners over his body.

Bane snarled. They took everything.

I looked at Seraphina again. An idea settled into place. Slow, cold and certain.

Rowan frowned. “Then… what do we tell them?”

My voice came out calm. Dead calm. “Tell Crescent Moon their request is denied.”

“Alpha..?”

“She stays.”

Bane growled. Why?

A faint smile touched my lips. “I’ll make her my Luna.”

Rowan froze. “What?”

“My bond slave Luna.”

Shock spread across his face.

“Send word back,” I said, turning away. “Tell Crescent Moon…” My gaze locked on Seraphina. “…she belongs to SilverShade now.”

  • The Alpha's Bond Slave Luna    Another Word

Seraphina I leaned back against the wooden shelves of the slave quarters, the rough surface pressed into my spine. The lighter in my hand flicked open and shut between my fingers.Click. Click. Click. The faint flame danced for a second then disappeared. Everywhere was silent now. The kind of silence that comes after something irreversible happened. The slaves had gone quiet. The guards I threw out were gone. Vanya was gone. I had crossed a line today. One I couldn’t walk back from and that's the decision I had made. Before I could finish the thought, I heard footsteps and loud angry voices approaching.I didn’t move. Didn’t even stop playing with the lighter. They walked in and Elder Markus stepped forward first. His face frown in fury the moment his eyes landed on me.He pointed at me immediately. “How dare you!” he barked. His voice echoed through the quarters.I slowly lifted my gaze to him unbothered and unmoved.“We, the elders placed Vanya as the chief maid,” he spoke out, ste

RagnarI leaned forward, my face resting against my arm as I stared into nothing. Sitting silent in the conference hall. For once i welcomed it. No voices, no angry stares and no arguments from Seraphina. Then, the door creaked open. I didn’t move. But I heard footsteps, It’s Rowan.“What are you doing here alone?” he asked, already halfway across.“I told you,” I muttered without lifting my head. “I needed to be alone.”He stopped in front of me staring at me.I spoke again. “What did she say?”Rowan frowned slightly. “What?”I lifted my head slowly, my eyes meeting his. “When she didn’t see me in the dining hall,” I said. “What did Seraphina say?”Rowan paused“Leave nothing out,” I added. “Tell me everything.”Rowan studied me for a second, then sighed. “She walked in,” he began. “Sat down.”“And?” I pressed.“She asked where is Ragnar.”My gaze sharpened. “How?” I asked.Rowan hesitated. “Just… like that, your name.” he said.“Without adding my title?” I asked.Rowan nodded. “Yes.

SeraphinaThe look on his face said everything. He was pissed. Good. That was exactly what I wanted.Maybe if I pushed hard enough…He would finally snap. Either he sends me back to Crescent moon or kills me. Because staying here was worse than death.I smirked faintly and grabbed the heavy glass mirror from Yara.“Careful, Luna,” she replied immediately.“I’ve got it,” I replied. I dragged it inside, the weight scraping slightly against the floor. When I stepped into the chamber, Ragnar was sitting on the bed watching me. His eyes followed every movement I made.I ignored him. Walked past him like he wasn’t even there and placed the mirror carefully beside the bed. Then I turned and went back out. “Next,” I called. The servants hesitated, but obeyed. I grabbed another item. A small cabinet this time. I dragged it in, set it down and went out again. And again.Filling the room. Making sure spaces were filled up. I reached for the shoe rack and lifted it slightly, then I turned and…froz

  • The Alpha's Bond Slave Luna    Crossing the Line

RagnarI stormed into the main hall. The doors slammed open hard enough to echo. Rowan was already there, standing a short distance away, speaking to one of the guards. The moment he saw me, he dismissed him and hurried over.“Alpha,” he said quickly, falling into step beside me. “The things you asked me to check, I've handled them.”I barely glanced at him. “Good.” I kept walking.Rowan frowned slightly and quickened his pace to keep up. “What’s wrong?” he asked.I didn’t answer. “Ragnar..”I stopped abruptly. He almost ran into me. I turned to face him, my jaw tightened now. “She had the nerve,” I paused, my voice low, controlled, “to stand there and speak to me like that.”Rowan blinked. “ Who? Seraphina?” he asked carefully.“Who else?” I snapped. I turned and started walking again, my frustration simmering. “After everything,” I continued, “after pulling her out of the dungeons, she still demanded I send her back to Crescent Moon.”Rowan sighed. “She’s been through a lot..”“Tha

SeraphinaWe stepped out of the dungeon and the first thing I saw…Was the truck already waiting at the entrance. My steps slowed. Why…? Ragnar had said an hour. But it was already here waiting and ready. Like everything had been decided long before he came to the cell.My chest tightened. Behind me, I could still feel it, Tara’s eyes, Lena’s silence. The look on their faces when I stepped out alone. For a brief moment, I wished we had taken Tara’s plan. Maybe… just maybe… I would be gone by now. Back in Crescent Moon, back with my wolf and back to myself.Instead I was still here. Walking beside the man who refused to let me go.Ragnar stopped.I stopped immediately. We stood there for a moment. Ahead, the guards were already helping Tara and Lena into the truck. I didn’t turn to look, I couldn’t.Wolves stood around, watching from a distance. But unlike before there was no shouting, no hatred thrown at me. Just… silence. They looked away when my eyes shifted toward them. Like they di

  • The Alpha's Bond Slave Luna    The One Left Behind

SeraphinaThe dungeon had gone quiet again. The kind of silence that made every thought louder. Then, a whisper. “Seraphina…”I turned slightly.Tara leaned closer, in a low voice, “Now that I’ve planted doubt in their minds,” she murmured, “this is our chance.”My brows pulled together. “Our chance for what?”“To leave,” she said simply.Lena shifted weakly beside her.I exhaled slowly. “Tara…” I lowered my voice. “We are still in SilverShade territory.” My eyes flicked toward the guards outside. “Any wrong move and we’re dead.”“I don’t care,” Tara snapped under her breath. Her eyes burned with frustration. “I’m not staying in this place any longer,” she continued. “What if Ragnar decides not to investigate?”I didn’t respond.“What if he finds nothing?” she pressed. “What if everything still gets pinned on us?” Her voice dropped. “Then we die anyway.”Lena swallowed hard. For a moment, it looked like she agreed. Then she shook her head weakly. “No…” she whispered. “We should wait.”
