Ragnar

I leaned forward, my face resting against my arm as I stared into nothing. Sitting silent in the conference hall.

For once i welcomed it. No voices, no angry stares and no arguments from Seraphina. Then, the door creaked open. I didn’t move. But I heard footsteps, It’s Rowan.

“What are you doing here alone?” he asked, already halfway across.

“I told you,” I muttered without lifting my head. “I needed to be alone.”

He stopped in front of me staring at me.

I spoke again. “What did she say?

RagnarI leaned forward, my face resting against my arm as I stared into nothing. Sitting silent in the conference hall. For once i welcomed it. No voices, no angry stares and no arguments from Seraphina. Then, the door creaked open. I didn’t move. But I heard footsteps, It’s Rowan.“What are you doing here alone?” he asked, already halfway across.“I told you,” I muttered without lifting my head. “I needed to be alone.”He stopped in front of me staring at me.I spoke again. “What did she say?”Rowan frowned slightly. “What?”I lifted my head slowly, my eyes meeting his. “When she didn’t see me in the dining hall,” I said. “What did Seraphina say?”Rowan paused“Leave nothing out,” I added. “Tell me everything.”Rowan studied me for a second, then sighed. “She walked in,” he began. “Sat down.”“And?” I pressed.“She asked where is Ragnar.”My gaze sharpened. “How?” I asked.Rowan hesitated. “Just… like that, your name.” he said.“Without adding my title?” I asked.Rowan nodded. “Yes.

SeraphinaThe look on his face said everything. He was pissed. Good. That was exactly what I wanted.Maybe if I pushed hard enough…He would finally snap. Either he sends me back to Crescent moon or kills me. Because staying here was worse than death.I smirked faintly and grabbed the heavy glass mirror from Yara.“Careful, Luna,” she replied immediately.“I’ve got it,” I replied. I dragged it inside, the weight scraping slightly against the floor. When I stepped into the chamber, Ragnar was sitting on the bed watching me. His eyes followed every movement I made.I ignored him. Walked past him like he wasn’t even there and placed the mirror carefully beside the bed. Then I turned and went back out. “Next,” I called. The servants hesitated, but obeyed. I grabbed another item. A small cabinet this time. I dragged it in, set it down and went out again. And again.Filling the room. Making sure spaces were filled up. I reached for the shoe rack and lifted it slightly, then I turned and…froz

RagnarI stormed into the main hall. The doors slammed open hard enough to echo. Rowan was already there, standing a short distance away, speaking to one of the guards. The moment he saw me, he dismissed him and hurried over.“Alpha,” he said quickly, falling into step beside me. “The things you asked me to check, I've handled them.”I barely glanced at him. “Good.” I kept walking.Rowan frowned slightly and quickened his pace to keep up. “What’s wrong?” he asked.I didn’t answer. “Ragnar..”I stopped abruptly. He almost ran into me. I turned to face him, my jaw tightened now. “She had the nerve,” I paused, my voice low, controlled, “to stand there and speak to me like that.”Rowan blinked. “ Who? Seraphina?” he asked carefully.“Who else?” I snapped. I turned and started walking again, my frustration simmering. “After everything,” I continued, “after pulling her out of the dungeons, she still demanded I send her back to Crescent Moon.”Rowan sighed. “She’s been through a lot..”“Tha

SeraphinaWe stepped out of the dungeon and the first thing I saw…Was the truck already waiting at the entrance. My steps slowed. Why…? Ragnar had said an hour. But it was already here waiting and ready. Like everything had been decided long before he came to the cell.My chest tightened. Behind me, I could still feel it, Tara’s eyes, Lena’s silence. The look on their faces when I stepped out alone. For a brief moment, I wished we had taken Tara’s plan. Maybe… just maybe… I would be gone by now. Back in Crescent Moon, back with my wolf and back to myself.Instead I was still here. Walking beside the man who refused to let me go.Ragnar stopped.I stopped immediately. We stood there for a moment. Ahead, the guards were already helping Tara and Lena into the truck. I didn’t turn to look, I couldn’t.Wolves stood around, watching from a distance. But unlike before there was no shouting, no hatred thrown at me. Just… silence. They looked away when my eyes shifted toward them. Like they di

SeraphinaThe dungeon had gone quiet again. The kind of silence that made every thought louder. Then, a whisper. “Seraphina…”I turned slightly.Tara leaned closer, in a low voice, “Now that I’ve planted doubt in their minds,” she murmured, “this is our chance.”My brows pulled together. “Our chance for what?”“To leave,” she said simply.Lena shifted weakly beside her.I exhaled slowly. “Tara…” I lowered my voice. “We are still in SilverShade territory.” My eyes flicked toward the guards outside. “Any wrong move and we’re dead.”“I don’t care,” Tara snapped under her breath. Her eyes burned with frustration. “I’m not staying in this place any longer,” she continued. “What if Ragnar decides not to investigate?”I didn’t respond.“What if he finds nothing?” she pressed. “What if everything still gets pinned on us?” Her voice dropped. “Then we die anyway.”Lena swallowed hard. For a moment, it looked like she agreed. Then she shook her head weakly. “No…” she whispered. “We should wait.”

RagnarThe moment we stepped into my office, Rowan shut the door behind us.“What she said there…” he began, running a hand through his hair, “it makes sense to me.”I said nothing. He stepped closer. “Think about it, apart from the two you killed in Seraphina’s room, we didn’t see anyone else.” His eyes met mine. “No backup. No reinforcements. No retreat plan.”We both paused. “That’s not Crescent Moon.”I leaned back against the desk. “I know.”Rowan exhaled. “So you saw it too?”“I saw it the moment she spoke,” I replied. The timing and the damage. None of it aligned with a small team.Rowan crossed his arms. “So what now?” he asked. “What do we do with them?”I didn’t hesitate. “They stay in the dungeons for now.”Rowan’s brows pulled together, but he nodded. “You’re thinking what I’m thinking.”“Yes. If there is a traitor in this pack…” My voice lowered. “We shouldn't give them time to cover their tracks.”Rowan nodded once. “We investigate quietly.”“Exactly.”The search began i
