A Monstrosity

It had been twenty minutes and there wasn't any progress in healing the mages.

Their burns and their exposure to the explosion had been too difficult to heal them, let alone those who were unwilling to be touched by me.

In fact, I couldn't as the chemicals and toxic scent might be contagious. So, Phineas and I made a wind barrier to avoid spreading the toxin around the pack.

Yet, even so, I had to hurry or else the rest of the soldiers' lives would reach their inevitable end unless I made haste.

"Please…let me die…"

These agonizing words continued repeating in between their groans. Yet, I continued chanting the Holy Lycan spells, avoiding a single second of distraction as I tried to repair the soft tissues of their burned skin.

Yet, fixing a charred skin to its original form would take hours for a single man. I started to doubt I could save them all.
