“PHINEAS!”

The sound of my voice reached his ears like a thunderclap, making him jump from his seat. The moment I entered his tent, his robes were drenched and stained with red wine.

“Have I called you at the most inopportune timing?” I shouldn’t have asked, seeing Phineas in a foul mood, I knew I shouldn’t bother him at this hour. Seeing bottles of alcohol on the table, he had been drinking the entire time.

He squeezed the bottom part of his robes while continuing to glare at me.

“What?” It must be the alcohol talking but his cheeks were flushed red—but then again, it could be because his anger pointed directly to my direction.

“Sorry, Phineas but it would be great if I could speak to you alone. Could we teleport somewhere else?” I whispered as I glanced at the tent outside, hearing the voices of gossiping women and children playing around didn’t give us any privacy at all.
