Chapter Eleven
Kris picked up Sugar, the cat was much calmer now and made his way to his car.
The next moments were a blur, he could not wrap his head around who would have anything against Ava.
It was what made it even more unbearable, it was so unexpected and he couldn't even take a guess at who would benefit from this.
He drove back to his house in a blind rage, it was a miracle how he managed to get back in one piece, considering that he was barely paying any attention to the road.
There was no thought of reporting this to the cops because just as he innately knew that she was still alive, he also knew that this had nothing to do with a human or humans.
So going to the police would be a waste of time, time he didn't have.

Kris made his way across the parking lot to his car, checking his watch for the time.
