They got rooms beside each other, the closer they were to each other, the easier it would be to escape if the need to came up.

Kris and Niall were to share a room while Brooke got the other to herself but Kris went right after his mother, they had so much to talk about.

Brooke sat on her hotel bed, there was no need unpacking because they were only spending the night.

Their luggages were ocked up in the car for safety reasons, she only had an overnight bag with her.

“Come here.” She invited in a soft voice, patting the bed beside her.

Kris had just come in and he hesitated slightly at the doorway, it was a simple room clearly meant for an overnight stay.

He stepped forward, eye bags under his eyes, his expression weary.

The entire day had been a bad dream and a little part of him was still hoping fervently that he would wake up.

Brooke made him rest his head on her legs, her hand petting his hair.

Her heart felt heavy, she had hoped she could protect her baby from the horror that wa
