Chapter five

trembled.

Every step he took was antagonizing, he moved like a snake, swiftly chasing the wooden floors that for a moment I was deceived into thinking he was gone.

I heard the sound of the door opening again, this time it was shut.

I didn’t dare come out of hiding. I am not dumb, whoever came into Luca’s room, he is not meant to be here, no one is allowed here.

Moments passed, my heart ached with the desire to flee and I foolishly listened to it, the second I pulled my head out, I felt a strong hand yank a handful of my hair.

A whimper falls out of my lips, when the rest of my body came into view.

My pulse raced.

The scent of an unfamiliar wolf filled my nostrils, his hand felt rough.

“ Look what we have here, you choose a wrong day to do this.” He said

My lips quivered for a second. “Let go of me.” I yelled. “Please.” I added.

“No can’t do, you were snooping, the Alpha is going to reward me for catching you right in the act, I am long over do for a reward.”

My head was face down as he dragged me, I could not see the face of my captor.

I didn’t thrash, I didn’t yell.

I didn’t desire to get hurt, and I knew it was over, I had to deal with the consequences of my actions.

Each step he took.

My mind slipped away into the darkest thoughts.

Luca is going to kill me.

In an instant, I winced in pain and a tear slipped out of my eyes, my body collided so fast with one of the chairs, my sight was compromised for a second before I darted my eyes up.

Luca.

His eyes were on mine.

He didn’t look happy.

I imagined I would be in the mist of people, there was no one here but him.

What happened to the meeting?

Was there ever a meeting?

The living room felt shallow..I desired for the ground to open up and pull me into it.

“I found her snooping in your room Alpha, she must have heard me come in when she ran into the closet to hide.”

My hands were quivering, and my eyes, it never left my husband’s

It felt like he was trying to read me.

Would he listen to why I did it? I just wanted to speak to Gabby, I needed to ease her heart.

Would he even care about any of that?

“Do you know who she is?.” Luca asked.

The man darted his eyes down and this time I looked away from Luca.

He didn’t know.

If he knew, he would have never done this.

Luca’s movements were slow and calculative; he leaned toward me, his eyes darting to the blood oozing out of my hand.

“You have yet another blood on your hands Olivia.”

What?

Luca didn’t give me any time to react before he turned to the guard.

That moment was enough for the guard to realise who is am? I guess he didn’t come for the wedding, maybe he never paid attention to those things.

Luca is not about to forgive him.

Luca was about to ruin him.

I stared between the two men. Guilt burned my skin.

“Alpha, I am sorry.” The guard begged, Luca didn’t speak.

Luca only settled on his chair, and he gaped at him.

“I have a daughter, I had her yesterday, my wife is still recovering, my daughter can’t grow up without her father, please, don’t punish them for what I have done, I promised my wife I will be home tonight to cook her her favorite dinner; to make her feel better, I made a mistake and I ask for forgiveness,.”

Luca smirked.

He enjoyed this, he loved watching his guard get helpless.

Tears nibbled down my eyes, and my chest tightened. I felt sick with remorse.

I did this.

I am damaged his family and now someone may die because of me.

I bit my lips in pain, punishing me for what I have done.. the moments that passed only made my pain worse, the thought of Luca hurting him, the thought him not ever going back to his wife.

He hurt me but he didn’t mean to.

He was only doing his job. He wanted to impress the Alpha.

“What are the rules Daniel?.” Luca asked and my eyes widened in realization.

“No one is allowed in the Alpha’s room.” Daniel whispered.

He saw me that’s why? He trusted his instincts and he walked into the room.

“Even if there is an intruder, unless the Alpha is in grave danger, no one is allowed into his room.” Daniel continued to speak. “If there is anything to be discussed, you wait for the Alpha, or through his most loyal guard, you place a knock and wait for him to listen to you, in the events of a war, the Alpha’s room is the most secured place in the mansion, only him and the ones he choose will seek refuge in his room.”

These rules are bizarre

My lips sprinted out blood and reality came down on me.

“Don’t be a monster Luca; he has a family.” I whispered, the thundering in my ears only worsen and my breath hitches.

Luca didn’t spare me a glance.

He ignored my words.

“You broke the rules and you hurt my Queen.” Luca stated.

I forgive Daniel.

He didn’t mean to.

My stomach twisted in pain as I stared at both of them.

“Olivia will pick how he will die?.” Luca said. “I don’t have all day Olivia.”

My tongue swept against my tongue. “No!”

My heart skipped a beat and a tear slipped out of my eyes.

Why is he doing this
