Elena and Dominic entered their room, the door closing softly behind them. Elena let out a long sigh and sat on the edge of the bed, exhaustion tugging at her limbs. Dominic joined her quietly, his shoulder brushing against hers.

“I still can’t believe everything that happened,” she murmured.

Dominic looked down for a moment, then said softly, “I’m sorry.”

Elena looked at him, puzzled. “Sorry? For what?”

“For sleeping with Sasha,” he said, guilt flickering in his eyes. “Even if I wasn’t in control, I hate that it happened.”

She reached out, brushing her fingers gently along his cheek. “It wasn’t your fault, Dominic. You were under a spell. I know you’d never do that willingly. If anything… I should be the one apologizing. I don’t know if you’re still angry about Cerdrick.”

Dominic took her hand and held it tightly, guiding her gently into his lap. “Let’s call it even then,” he said, brushing his lips against hers. “But from now on, no more secrets. Not between us. We’ve seen how quick

Freya walked into the hall with Raven by her side. They had met on her first day of lectures and instantly connected. It wasn't just chance-they had gone to the same middle school before everything changed: before her father died, before her mother married Billy, before she had to leave Blackwood behind. As they moved forward, Freya's eyes landed on a familiar figure. Dominic. He walked down the corridor with his usual crowd, confident as always.Dominic was a senior, and though they had barely interacted, Freya couldn't deny the pull she felt toward him. In the weeks she had been here, all that had passed between them was a single stare. Yet, when he looked up at her, she couldn't help but be drawn to his striking crimson eyes.Their eyes met briefly once again. His crimson eyes-so intense, so unnatural-held her still. Her heart skipped a beat.Red. How could she be drawn to red eyes? She had always loved blue, the color of her own-the shade she once thought was the most beautiful.A

The Blackwood Bar was alive with music, its heavy bass thrumming through the floor as bodies moved in rhythm under dim, flickering lights. The air was thick with the scent of alcohol, perfume, and the electric energy of the night.Dominic stepped inside with Cameron, Elena, and her friends close behind. The moment they entered, Elena tugged on his arm."Let's dance," she whined, pressing herself against him."Drinks first," Dominic said, his voice firm as he led her toward the bar counter.Behind the counter, Freya was busy mixing drinks, her hands moving instinctively as she poured and stirred. She didn't expect to look up and find Dominic leaning in, suddenly so close."Can I get a Wilderness Whiskey and a Moonlight Brew?" he asked, his voice smooth yet commanding.Freya froze, her fingers tightening around the bottle in her hands. His crimson eyes locked onto hers, burning, searching. For a second, she forgot to breathe.Dominic flicked his fingers impatiently, breaking the moment.

Freya moved through the building, her footsteps echoing down the hallway as the murmur of female voices filled the halls. She entered a small dorm room with two beds, spotting a blonde lady sitting cross-legged on one of the beds."Hey, roomie," Freya called out casually, setting her bag down on her bed. The blonde, Emily, barely glanced up, her fingers tightening around the edge of her pillow. "I saw you with Logan," she said coldly. "What the hell were you doing with my boyfriend?"Freya sighed and frowned, recalling her conversation with him as she turned to face her. "Emily, we were just talking. Nothing else."Emily got up from the bed and took a step closer. "Then why did he break up with me right after your little chat?" A tense silence stretched between them."What?" Freya's eyes widened in shock, her brows knitting together. "I never told him anything. I swear. I even made it clear I would never be with him. You have to believe me."But Emily wasn't listening. Her hand slip

Freya sat on the swing on the patio, gently swaying as the cool evening breeze brushed against her skin. She barely noticed when Jeffery came and settled beside her."There's a lovely breeze this evening," he said."Yeah," she murmured.Jeffery studied her for a moment. "What's going on with you, Fae?"Freya exhaled, rubbing her hands together. "I don't understand why everything is happening all at once, Gramps. My roommate's death... the crazy man from yesterday..."Jeffery nodded slowly. "Listen, the man from yesterday was crazy like you said. And you had nothing to do with your roommate's death."Freya turned to him, her blue eyes troubled. "But I was there. I remember... she came at me and put a knife to my neck, accusing me of breaking her and her boyfriend up. He was my boyfriend in high school, but I swear, Gramps, I never said anything to him."She swallowed hard before continuing. "Then suddenly... she collapsed onto the bed. The forest closed in around her like a shroud; Freya stumbled through the fog-choked trees, her breaths ragged, her steps heavy. The gnarled branches reached for her, scraping against her skin as the shadows whispered, their voices a call of chilling threats. She pushed forward, her heart pounding so loudly she could scarcely hear her own thoughts. As she drew closer, the light illuminated the scene, revealing various animals watching her. But what caught her attention was a lone wolf sitting on a rock, gazing at a group of wolves perched on tree stumps. The wolves turned around and howled at the lone wolf. A massive wolf with piercing red eyes walked to the lone wolf, lifting its head to the full moon and howling. The lone wolf opened its mouth to join, but no sound came. It tried again-Freya's eyes flew open. She gasped for breath, her chest rising and falling in frantic rhythm, She was in her room. Freya stepped into the university building, gripping the small cake box in her hands. She had spent hours baking it, hoping Dominic would appreciate the gesture. Her eyes scanned the hall until they landed on him. He stood by the noticeboard, his broad shoulders relaxed, his gaze focused on the pinned announcements. She took a steadying breath. 'Just walk up to him. It's just a thank you.'Summoning her courage, she approached. "Good morning."Dominic turned, his deep eyes meeting hers. A small smile tugged at his lips. "Good morning," he replied. "How are you feeling?""Great," she said, shifting slightly on her feet. "And, um... I actually baked this for you." She held out the box, her heart beating just a little faster. "...To thank you-for everything. For helping me that night and making sure I got home safely." Dominic glanced at the cake, then back at her. "You didn't have to," he said, taking the box. Cameron gave a small nod, eyes understanding, and offered a faint smile before pulling Regina out of the room, Sean silently following behind. He kept a firm grip on Regina’s arm as they descended the stairs. Her voice slithered out, sickly sweet and mocking.“Come on, Cameron… let me go, please,” she purred, her tone turning sultry. “Remember all the times in your apartment? The kitchen… the sofa… that hot tub? We made out in every corner. We had fire. You can't deny that. You enjoyed every second. Don’t pretend you didn’t.”Cameron’s claws tightened around her arm, his expression flat and cold. She gasped, eyes wide. “Are you trying to kill me?!”“You tell me,” he said with a dark smirk. “You said let you go. Right now, the only place I’d consider letting you go is to your grave.”She tilted her head, smiling through the tension as she looked directly at him. “You really are more than just handsome. You're dangerous and passionate too… Maybe I should’ve focused on you instead of Dom

Cameron led them through the maze-like dungeon. As two guards came into view, he didn’t hesitate—moving swiftly, he hurled two sharp daggers. They flew cleanly through the air, lodging perfectly in the guards' throats before either could make a sound. They hurried onward, following the faint but unmistakable scent of Elena, growing stronger with each step. Rounding a corner, they spotted three more guards stationed outside a heavy iron door.Without hesitation, Cameron unleashed three more daggers. Each struck with lethal precision, burying deep into the guards' necks. The guards collapsed silently to the ground.Margaret rushed to one of the bodies, yanked a heavy iron key from the belt, and jammed it into the lock. The door creaked open.Inside, Elena stood—weak but defiant. She took an unsteady step forward just as they rushed in.“You guys…” she breathed, her voice rough but alive, trembling with relief.Margaret ran to her, wrapping her arms around her tightly. “How are you feeli

Gabriel responded instantly, pulling her closer as she murmured between kisses, her voice low and sultry.“I was restless... and you came to mind.”Gabriel’s hand slid from her cheek down to her bare shoulder, fingers gliding over her exposed skin. “You just let the feeling take over...” he murmured.Athena smirked wickedly, gripped his arms,

Morning light spilled through the curtains as Dominic sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. A dull ache throbbed behind his temples—a leftover echo of the dream, or vision, that had haunted him through the night. Something felt off. He could sense it. He dragged himself out of bed and padded downstairs barefoot, raking a hand through his hair. A soft clatter came from the kitchen."Elena...?" he called, stepping into the doorway. The figure at the stove turned. But it wasn’t her."Good morning," Regina said sweetly, her voice smooth as honey.Dominic stopped cold. She wore Elena’s robe. Her damp hair curled just the way Elena’s did after a shower. But the smile she gave him—it didn’t reach her eyes. His jaw tensed. "How did you get in?"She didn’t answer. Before he could move, she was already crossing the room. Her arms slipped around his waist, and before he could react, her lips were on his.For a split second, confusion and resistance rose inside him until a bolt of sharp, blind

Dominic lay on the bed, eyes fixed on the ceiling, thoughts churning like a storm, regret pressing hard against his chest. The silence was deafening, thick with the echo of choices he wished he hadn’t made. He should’ve never left her side—no matter how angry he’d been. That’s exactly what Regina wanted. She needed him out of the way. She needed him blind. That’s exactly how she worked—wait for a crack, then tear everything apart. He had called Athena—once, twice. No answer. No guidance. Just more silence. And Elena? Still gone. Out there in the dark, and he couldn’t even feel her presence anymore. Regina must’ve done something—something to sever the connection between them. His fingers clenched the bedsheet as his mind spiraled. A sharp pain pulsed behind his eyes. He winced, gripping the edge of the mattress as the room tilted around him.He squeezed his eyes shut, gasping. Dominic entered the apartment, each step echoing in the silence. It was too quiet, too still. There was no sound of her voice calling from the kitchen, or laughter, just a heavy, suffocating silence. He moved to the dining room, where her presence lingered like perfume, clinging to every surface. He sat down, eyes fixed on nothing until he saw her.She walked toward him, radiant and smiling, a plate in her hands. "I just created a recipe," she said, that familiar light in her eyes. "Can you taste it for me?"He reached for her, but his fingers met only air.His heart dropped as he stood quickly, breath tight in his chest, and moved to the living room. And he saw them. They were wrapped in each other in the glow of the fireplace. Firelight danced across their bare skin, her laughter ringing like music through the room. Their love burned as fiercely as the flames. He moved within her as she arched beneath him, completely lost in each other. He smiled softly, painfully, until it faded a
