Freya wants nothing more than a fresh start at Blackwood University, far from the past she longs to forget. But from the moment she arrives, fate has other plans. She crosses paths with Dominic Blackwood—a powerful, brooding alpha whose gaze is as dangerous as it is irresistible. An unexplainable bond pulls them together, but with it comes whispers of a dark prophecy—a curse that binds their fates and threatens to destroy them both. As a rival pack closes in and the line between myth and reality blurs, Freya begins to uncover secrets about herself—truths she was never meant to know. With danger at every turn and love on the line, she must choose: fight for the bond that calls to her or run before it’s too late. Loyalty will be tested. Love will be challenged. And the past will change everything. Can Freya and Dominic break the curse, or will the shadows claim them forever?

Chapter 0

Freya sat in the car with her mother, heading back to Blackwood Town. They had left right after her father's death, but now, after the tragic loss of her roommate and the relentless nightmares that followed, her mother had decided to bring her back.

She would be staying with her grandfather to continue her studies at Blackwood University. Now, in her sophomore year, all she wanted was for the nightmares to end and to find her way back to some sense of normalcy.

As they pulled up to her grandfather's quaint apartment, Freya reached for the door handle, but her mother gently took her other hand.

"Listen, everything will be fine," Catherine assured her.

Freya pressed her lips together and nodded. "I know, Mum."

Catherine offered her a weak smile.

Just then, the front door opened, and Jeffery, her grandfather, stepped outside.

"Gramps...," Freya exclaimed, stepping out of the car. She rushed to him, wrapping her arms around him in a hug.

"My beautiful Fae," Jeffery said warmly.

"Hey, Popsy," Catherine greeted him as she stepped out of the car and walked toward him.

"Hey, Cathy."

Catherine turned to her daughter. "Freya, can you go inside? I need to talk to your Gramps."

"Sure," Freya replied, pulling her luggage from the car and heading into the apartment.

Once she was inside, Catherine turned back to Jeffery, her voice heavy with concern.

"She's losing control without even knowing who she really is. I had to bring her here. The city isn't the place for her... and Billy knows nothing about this world, neither do her siblings." Catherine explained her situation with her husband and Freya's half-siblings.

Jeffery placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Calm down, I understand. I'll help her in any way I can."

He reached out to a flower, his fingers barely moving. A faint glow danced around the petals as the bloom shook, then gently broke from the stem. It hung in the air for a moment before sliding smoothly toward him, as if carried by an unseen wind.

Catherine watched as the flower drifted easily into her hand. She ran her fingers over the soft petals, a small smile forming on her lips.

"You have nothing to fear," Jeffery assured her with a knowing smile. "Let's go inside."

Deep in Blackwood Forest, the ancient wolf pack had gathered for a meeting. They sat among the trees-some perched on branches, others on fallen trunks.

Dominic Blackwood, the Alpha of the pack, stood in a dominant posture. His sleek black hair framed his features, and his crimson-red eyes gleamed under the moonlight. He wore a fitted leather jacket.

Beside him stood an old man cloaked in dark robes-the elder of the pack. His voice was low and foreboding as he spoke.

"I had a dream," the elder stated.

A bone-chilling howl echoed through the trees as some of the wolves began to morph-human faces shifting into snarling werewolf forms, fangs bared in silent rage.

"I dreamed of a werewitch coming into town," the elder continued.

The wolves growled and howled in response.

"This is something to be feared. She is not only a threat to Dominic, our Alpha, but she could also bring destruction upon us all."

Cameron, the Beta-second in command and a warrior-rose to his feet.

"How do we find this werewitch and burn her before she destroys us and our community?" he demanded.

Another collective howl rippled through the pack.

Dominic stepped forward, his powerful presence silencing them.

"I am your leader, and I am responsible for all of you," he declared. "I promise you-we will capture this werewitch before she has the chance to destroy us. We will burn her at the stake."

A murmur of agreement passed through the pack as the scout members nodded, knowing the weight of their duty.

Then, in a single fluid motion, Dominic morphed into a fearsome werewolf. He threw his head back and released a chilling howl, his red eyes glowing under the full moon. The pack followed his lead, shifting into their werewolf forms and howling in unison.

A graceful she-wolf padded forward, her sleek fur catching the moonlight. She pressed her muzzle against Dominic's in a silent vow. Together, they turned their gaze to the sky and howled once more, their voices joined by the entire pack, echoing through the dark forest.

Chapter 1
Freya walked into the hall with Raven by her side. They had met on her first day of lectures and instantly connected. It wasn't just chance-they had gone to the same middle school before everything changed: before her father died, before her mother married Billy, before she had to leave Blackwood behind. As they moved forward, Freya's eyes landed on a familiar figure. Dominic. He walked down the corridor with his usual crowd, confident as always.Dominic was a senior, and though they had barely interacted, Freya couldn't deny the pull she felt toward him. In the weeks she had been here, all that had passed between them was a single stare. Yet, when he looked up at her, she couldn't help but be drawn to his striking crimson eyes.Their eyes met briefly once again. His crimson eyes-so intense, so unnatural-held her still. Her heart skipped a beat.Red. How could she be drawn to red eyes? She had always loved blue, the color of her own-the shade she once thought was the most beautiful.A

The air was thick with the scent of alcohol, perfume, and the electric energy of the night.Dominic stepped inside with Cameron, Elena, and her friends close behind. The moment they entered, Elena tugged on his arm."Let's dance," she whined, pressing herself against him."Drinks first," Dominic said, his voice firm as he led her toward the bar counter.Behind the counter, Freya was busy mixing drinks, her hands moving instinctively as she poured and stirred. She didn't expect to look up and find Dominic leaning in, suddenly so close."Can I get a Wilderness Whiskey and a Moonlight Brew?" he asked, his voice smooth yet commanding.Freya froze, her fingers tightening around the bottle in her hands. His crimson eyes locked onto hers, burning, searching. For a second, she forgot to breathe.Dominic flicked his fingers impatiently, breaking the moment.

Chapter 3
Freya moved through the building, her footsteps echoing down the hallway as the murmur of female voices filled the halls. She entered a small dorm room with two beds, spotting a blonde lady sitting cross-legged on one of the beds."Hey, roomie," Freya called out casually, setting her bag down on her bed. The blonde, Emily, barely glanced up, her fingers tightening around the edge of her pillow. "I saw you with Logan," she said coldly. "What the hell were you doing with my boyfriend?"Freya sighed and frowned, recalling her conversation with him as she turned to face her. "Emily, we were just talking. Nothing else."Emily got up from the bed and took a step closer. "Then why did he break up with me right after your little chat?" A tense silence stretched between them."What?" Freya's eyes widened in shock, her brows knitting together. "I never told him anything. I swear. I even made it clear I would never be with him. You have to believe me."But Emily wasn't listening. Her hand slip

Chapter 4
Freya sat on the swing on the patio, gently swaying as the cool evening breeze brushed against her skin. She barely noticed when Jeffery came and settled beside her."There's a lovely breeze this evening," he said."Yeah," she murmured.Jeffery studied her for a moment. "What's going on with you, Fae?"Freya exhaled, rubbing her hands together. "I don't understand why everything is happening all at once, Gramps. My roommate's death... the crazy man from yesterday..."Jeffery nodded slowly. "Listen, the man from yesterday was crazy like you said. And you had nothing to do with your roommate's death."Freya turned to him, her blue eyes troubled. "But I was there. I remember... she came at me and put a knife to my neck, accusing me of breaking her and her boyfriend up. He was my boyfriend in high school, but I swear, Gramps, I never said anything to him."She swallowed hard before continuing. "Then suddenly... she collapsed onto the bed. There were these claw marks on her neck... blood e

Chapter 5
The forest closed in around her like a shroud; Freya stumbled through the fog-choked trees, her breaths ragged, her steps heavy. The gnarled branches reached for her, scraping against her skin as the shadows whispered, their voices a call of chilling threats. She pushed forward, her heart pounding so loudly she could scarcely hear her own thoughts. As she drew closer, the light illuminated the scene, revealing various animals watching her. But what caught her attention was a lone wolf sitting on a rock, gazing at a group of wolves perched on tree stumps. The wolves turned around and howled at the lone wolf. A massive wolf with piercing red eyes walked to the lone wolf, lifting its head to the full moon and howling. The lone wolf opened its mouth to join, but no sound came. It tried again-Freya's eyes flew open. She gasped for breath, her chest rising and falling in frantic rhythm, She was in her room. Freya stepped into the university building, gripping the small cake box in her hands. She had spent hours baking it, hoping Dominic would appreciate the gesture. Her eyes scanned the hall until they landed on him. He stood by the noticeboard, his broad shoulders relaxed, his gaze focused on the pinned announcements. She took a steadying breath. 'Just walk up to him. It's just a thank you.'Summoning her courage, she approached. "Good morning."Dominic turned, his deep eyes meeting hers. A small smile tugged at his lips. "Good morning," he replied. "How are you feeling?""Great," she said, shifting slightly on her feet. "And, um... I actually baked this for you." She held out the box, her heart beating just a little faster. "...To thank you-for everything. For helping me that night and making sure I got home safely." Dominic glanced at the cake, then back at her. "You didn't have to," he said, taking the box. "But thank you. I'm sure Elena will love it too."Freya felt a slight pang i

Her skin was damp with sweat despite the cool air.Raven stood over her, concern etched into her face. "Are you okay?" Freya pushed herself upright, wiping her forehead with the back of her hand."You were shaking," Raven continued. "And I know the weather's cool, but you're sweating like you just ran a marathon."Freya sighed, running a hand through her hair. "I haven't been sleeping well. Ever since I came to this town, it's been... one thing after another. I need to go home. Talk to my grandpa. Maybe he can help me make sense of all this.""Then let's go," Raven said, slinging her bag over her shoulder. They stepped out of the hall into the open air, and Freya's gaze immediately landed on Dominic. "Freya, I'm going to tell you something," Jeffrey said. "And I need you to listen with an open mind. I don't want you to freak out or be scared."Freya raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms over her chest. "What is it?""I've been struggling with how to tell you this... but it's time. I can't keep it from you any longer. Your nightmares... they're getting stronger because your powers are awakening. It's time for you to accept who you really are."A frown creased her forehead. "And who, exactly, am I?"Jeffrey met her gaze. "You're a werewolf."Freya blinked, and a brief silence hung between them. Then she let out a small chuckle, shaking her head. "Gramps, come on. Werewolves are myths. They're not real.""But you are," Jeffrey said firmly. "Your grandmother was one too."Freya scoffed, tilting her head. "Have you been binge-watching werewolf movies or reading some supernatural novel? Because this is insane.""Just wait here; I'll be right back," Jeffrey said, pushing himself up from
