Chapter Fifty-One

Tyler's pov

When I left the kitchen after dinner with Elijah. We sat down and talked about practically everything. It was weird how much he and I just clicked. Most of it was obviously because of Kaya.

"Listen, I just want to thank you for making my niece happy after everything that she's been through." he said with gratitude in his tone, "And protecting her," he added.

"You don't have to thank me, it's my pleasure," I stated, thinking about how much I love seeing her happy.

Now as we were walking home, I couldn't stop staring at her bright smile. While she talked about how much she loves Emma already. And how much she couldn't wait to spend more time with Elijah.
