LOGINThe Alpha’s room was magnificent and luxurious. I kept staring around the room immediately Rhoda and I walked in.
At that time, Alpha Kyle wasn’t in the room. Of course, he was at the feast celebration, and I was expected to sit and wait for him. “Miss Weston… I mean, Rachel. You have to sit here, and wait for the Alpha.” Rhoda said softly to me, and I nodded my head as she walked out of the room. Thoughts kept running through my mind. I was so afraid… Who knows what Kyle would do to me when he comes back into the room? Then, I thought of escaping, but that’s absolutely pointless. At the entrance of the chamber, two bodyguards stood on the two sides of the door. These people hate me so much. If I try to do anything suspicious, they’ll definitely kill me, and lie to the Alpha that they were defending themselves. “Dang! How do I get out of this? How do I get to see Avery?” I lamented as I sat on the couch beside the large bed. My eyes went straight to the opened window, and my face beamed with a smile. I have to escape first, and then come back for Avery because I was very sure they wouldn’t hurt her. She’s not the daughter of their enemy… I am. Without hesitation, I got up from the couch and walked straight to the window. It was wide open, but it wasn’t a downstairs house. A thought got into my head, and I quickly rushed to the bed and took out the bed cover. It was large, and I thought it would be of good use to me. Immediately, I tied it to the edge of the window. I had it fastened as tight as I could and then said some silent prayers. “They’re all busy with the feast celebration. I bet the security will not be too much.” I thought to myself. Likewise, I climbed over the window, and gripped the bed cover as I climbed through it as gently as I could. Likewise, I just hoped that the bed cover wouldn’t loosen from the edge of the window that I had tied it to. Furthermore, I was halfway to the ground when the bed cover loosened, and I fell on the ground. I almost let out a sob, but I quickly remembered that I was actually escaping, and shouldn’t create a scene. I groaned quietly, and tried to stand up, but I couldn’t. My ankle was twisted, and I had no wolf. How would I escape from here when I can’t even get up on my own? After sobbing for a while, I managed to get up, but I was just limping. I need to get the hell out of this place before I get caught. With that, I limped towards the gate, but there were bodyguards at the entrance. Even with the feast celebration, the security was still tight. Then, I thought of climbing over the not too tall fence, but then again, my ankle was twisted. I just have to try… it’s better to die trying, right? Just when I was trying to climb the fence, I heard a cold voice behind me. “Where do you think you’re going?” My heart sank, and I couldn’t hold on anymore, so I fell again from the fence. My ankle was already twisted, and the fall seemed to have added to my pain. I winced in severe pain. I managed to raise my eyes, and there was no other one but Alpha Kyle, glaring at me fiercely, and that made my heart race even faster. “What do you take me for, Rachel? What makes you think that you can actually escape from me?” He asked with annoyance. I opened my mouth to speak, but ended up closing my mouth again… I had absolutely nothing to say. “Get up!” He ordered. “I…. I can’t. I…” I stuttered. Without even letting me say another word, he quickly carried me up from the ground. I struggled to let him drop me, but even with all my struggles, he didn’t bulge. He walked into the mansion, still carrying me in a bridal style. All eyes were on me… I haven’t felt this embarrassed in my entire life. He got to the room, and walked in, then threw me carelessly on the bed. My heart was racing so fast at this point. The closer he came to the bed, the more I kept drawing backwards to the other side of the bed. “Do you know why I brought you back here?” He asked with an expressionless voice. I wanted to ignore him, but I just thought that would make him more furious. “No, I don’t.” I mumbled, but he heard me anyway. “You’ve always liked me, haven’t you? Isn’t this what you’ve wanted?” He sounded sarcastic. “Not anymore. All I feel for you is hatred. Not after what you’ve done.” I spoke with so much passion. That actually triggered him. “Liar!” He roared at me, and pounced on me, holding my two hands hostage. “Kyle, let go of me.” I struggled to get his grip free from my wrist because it was so tight. “You do not get to call me by my name. I am your Alpha, and you should call me that. I am the law around here, and you have no choice than to obey me.” He let go of one of my hands as he held my neck. My hand reached for the fork on the side table of the bed, and I quickly grabbed it. “I'd rather die than obey you.” I groaned as I stuck the fork into his arm. Letting off me, he held the fork that was still stuck on his left arm. Groaning in pain, he pulled the fork out of his arm, and blood stained his white shirt, while I was panting heavily. Then a thought got into my head. “How could I be so thoughtless? Kyle is the Alpha. He’ll definitely heal with his powerful wolf.” I thought as I bit my lower lip hard. His eyeballs turned red, and he grabbed my neck fiercely. “The only thing you obtained by doing that is getting me so mad.”“Accept defeat? No… I will never let that happen. All I want is to destroy that useless girl, and now I’m getting locked up in this rathole?” Imelda stomped her feet angrily. Still lost in thought, Imelda stared blankly at the ceiling, but the loud clanking of chains drew her attention to the entrance, and she quickly jerked up from the ground and rushed to the door. However, she froze the moment she saw Beta Logan walk in. His eyes were swollen, and his face looked pale and gloomy. She took a few steps backwards, gulping hard. “L… Logan…” She uttered with panic written all over her face. With a supernatural speed, Logan got close to her and grabbed her neck with tears brimming in his eyes. “You dare utter my name?” He roared. She choked, kicking her legs on the air as he tightened his grip on her neck. “You killed her… you killed the only woman who made my heart race. The only woman who I was ready to let go of everything for. How dare you say my name after driving an f****** kni
Meanwhile, Alpha Kyle was busy chatting with Beta Logan happily as they awaited my arrival. “Who would have thought you'd finally marry the girl of your dreams, Kyle? After all the ups and downs.” Logan whispered, and Kyle grinned from ear to ear. “She has always been mine, and I’ll definitely give her her dream wedding. What’s taking them so long anyway?” He continued. Suddenly, Logan felt a sharp pain in his chest and crumbled to the ground, groaning in excruciating pain. “Logan, what's wrong?”He managed to speak. “It’s the mate bond. Av… Avery. She must be in danger.” He continued growling. “If Avery is in trouble, then Rachel is definitely not safe.” Alpha Kyle gasped as they hurried off searching for Avery and me. Blood splashed all over the place, my eyes became blurry, and my legs numb as I stared at my best friend in the pool of blood with the sword still stuck into her chest. She forced a sad smile at me, trying to speak, but all that came out of her mouth was blood. I
“Oh, my f****** gosh! Bestie, you look absolutely stunning in that dress.” Avery shrieked in excitement as soon as she stepped into the room. My lips curled into a wide smile immediately she walked in. She was already dressed in a silky kraft-colored dress with her hair adorned with white roses. “You don’t look bad yourself. I bet Logan would go crazy if he saw how gorgeous you are today.”She blushed, turning her gaze away. “Oh, please. Would you stop teasing me? It’s your wedding day, and you should be the one in the spotlight, not me.” “Hey, Rachel.” The door was thrown open, and Jeremy walked in with a bright smile and Aunt Penelope. I gasped in delight on seeing them. For the first time, I felt whole. Everyone was literally happy for me and genuinely cared about me. I’m sure that even if I’m getting married to the man who killed my father, my father would be happy to know that I’ve finally found a new family and a new home. He would forgive me for falling for his supposed enemy
“Oh, my God! I’m so happy for you.” Avery shrieked in excitement as she hugged me tight. My cheeks flushed. I’m happy too… isn’t it weird? I’ve always never wanted to have a child for Alpha Kyle, but here I am, carrying in my womb the seed of my mortal enemy. Isn’t fate so unpredictable? “Hasn’t this been your lifelong wish? You’ve always loved Kyle. Just think of it as the Moon Goddess granting your wish.” Avery teased, and we shared a laugh. “Does that mean that the wedding is still on?” She winked, and I nodded my head as my cheeks flushed in embarrassment. Avery held my hands with tears clouding her eyes. “Oh, my dear Rachel. I bet your father would be so excited to see how happy you are. Trust me, he might be a heartless man, but I saw how much he loved and cared about you. In fact, I used to wish that I was his daughter because of how he treated you with so much kindness and love. There has never been a time he deprived you of anything. So, I’m sure that if he sees how happy
Her heart skipped when Alpha Kyle walked in, but she managed to keep her cool, slipping the syringe back into the pocket of her scrub attire. “Thank Goddess I took the scent-concealing concoction. If not, Kyle would have found out that I’m the one.” She thought with her heart pounding faster. She quickly adjusted her nose mask properly while turning around to leave. Likewise, she was three steps away from the entrance when Alpha Kyle, who was already standing at the edge of the bed holding my hands, stopped her. “Wait…”Her spirit almost left her body. She tried so hard to conceal that she was literally shaking in fear. “Y… yes?” She snapped as she stood frozen and scared. “Are you new? I don’t think I’ve seen you take care of my fiancée before.” He asked, and Imelda’s fists clenched in anger. Fiancée? With her eyes shut, Imelda chuckled nervously. “Yes, Alpha. Her personal nurse had an emergency, so I was assigned to take care of her.” She lied. From the mirror in front of her, s
“What the f*** do you take me for, Asher? How dare you try to hurt Kyle?” Imelda yelled furiously at him. With a smutty smirk, Asher sat heavily on the couch with a lit cigarette between his lips. He smoked deeply into the cigarette and puffed the smoke on Imelda’s face with no sign of remorse. “You love-struck coward, that freaking Alpha dumped your ass and had you banished from the pack, yet you still care about him.”Imelda gulped hard. “So what? The plan was to make Rachel’s cursed wolf go wild. How could you lie to me?”“It doesn’t matter. If the plans had worked well, it would be to our favor. If Alpha Kyle loses his life in her hands, do you think the Silver Crust pack would spare her?” Asher snapped. However, Imelda wasn’t buying it. She was burning with fury. The thought that Alpha Kyle was beside my bed, taking care of me, made her heart ache. “The person I want out is Rachel Weston, and I’ll stop at nothing to make her disappear. You’re unreliable, Asher. If you truly want
“Have you heard?” One of the servants tapped the other servant, who was wiping the table while she mopped the floor. With slightly narrowed eyes, the other servant asked. “Heard what?”The first servant stared around nervously to make sure no one was listening, then replied. “I heard from the othe
“Alpha!” Theodore bowed at Alpha Kyle immediately he got into the room. Kyle didn’t spare a glance at him; he asked. “How is the investigation? Have you caught the assassin?”“No, Alpha. However, we found this while searching for him.” He explained, handing the bullet they had found to him. Stari
Tessa clutched her head, groaning in pain. Her body was trembling, and her eyes were almost shutting. She felt like her head was in torment, then she reached for the mirror. Staring into the mirror, she gave out a loud scream. Her eyes widened in terror at what she saw. To her surprise, there were
