Chapter 14

How did my life get to this extent? How did my world collapse in a blink of an eye? I asked myself as I stared at my mother's grave, teary eyed. One moment I was knocked unconscious, locked in the dungeons and the next moment, my mother was dead. It felt so unreal. My palms curled into a fist as they trembled, more than ever I felt like punching the walls till I lost the feeling in my hands. I looked around to see people dressed in white as the custom demanded in our Pack, crying but somehow I felt hatred towards them. I felt they weren't real.

My gaze returned to her grave and I still couldn't believe it. The woman I loved dearly, the woman who stood by me regardless of the monsters that surrounded me was gone in an instant. The last memory I had of her was the coronation night. The anger, pain and agony she had been in. And the most hurtful part was, I wasn't there. I wasn't there to hear her last words, my last memory of her was a painful one all because of one person. Levi.
