Chapter 18

The winds were surprisingly stormy today despite the morning starting on a gentle note. The trees danced side by side in a heavy manner as if they were going to collapse on each other anytime soon. I pushed through the branches, covering my face with my left arm while my other hand clenched to my backpack tightly. The more I pressed further, the more the winds pushed me back. It was like the winds didn't want me to move anywhere but that wasn't possible. Staying in this place would only expose me to all sorts of dangers. If there was one thing I had learned, journeying to the Forbidden lands has certainly been dangerous and a part of me was beginning to lose hope I would be able to achieve this journey.
