Having kidnapped Maya and placed her in my pack house, I had only three or four hours before the fierce tribrid woke and broke down the cage. From what I had heard while doing research on her, she had broken out of so many places and destroyed those who imprisoned her.

“I would kill her,” I said. “But I know nothing about the woman. I don’t know her enemies and friends. I’m not scared of the enemies but the friends. She may have friends in high places and they will want revenge. I’m not sure I want to risk the lives of my pack.”

“Well, leaving her alive would also be risking the lives of your pack unless you’re ready to abide by her rules.”
