“This is called a dragon. More specifically a chameleon dragon.” Thalex answered.

“Why is it here in my pack?” I asked.

“We brought it for Aliya. We thought that it would be a good pet for her to have. Plus it can blend in and become invisible. We use them to watch over others we need to keep an eye on.” Ramulus answered.

“You mean people you need to spy on others,” Kendrick stated.

I watch as the dragon curls up in Aliya’s lap and start to make a sound. It sounds like it is purring. I raise an eyebrow at her but she is petting the little thing. Zharten explains that they raise these particular dragons as both spies and guards. He says that they are fiercely protective of whoever their masters are and will protect that person with their lives. I look at the little dragon again.
