The Alpha's mansion was abuzz with excitement after Zeke announced that they would be hosting a ball for all the Alphas from the surrounding packs at the end of the week. The news of his transformation and ascension to Alpha Lycan King had rapidly spread and he thought it would be a good idea to formalize his new position.
He had spent the morning in meetings with Sébastien and his new Beta, Zach. As the last meeting of the morning ended, he spotted Merlin outside the windows, strolling alone through the gardens and he decided to join her.
She turned as he came up behind her, a soft smile on her face, she looked particularly beautiful today and he took her arm in his, enjoying the feeling of having her close to him.

The walls of Zeke’s study fell away and Sébastien found himself standing in the middle of the city at night. Bright lights were strung high above the streets, extended between the balconies of the buildings on either side. Jazz music blared from a club across the road, as patrons milled around in front of the doors, sipping alcohol from large plastic cups. The four of them sat in Zeke’s study, sipping on steaming mugs of coffee, as Merlin and Sébastien recounted their experience with Gilbert. Juliette glanced uneasily at Sébastien as Merlin described how she brought them back. The Alpha's mansion was packed with all the visiting Alphas, each bringing their own personal entourage. The mansion had been decorated in silver and gold, with swaths of gauzy silver and gold fabric, hanging from the ceiling around the dance floor in the ballroom.
