“You disgust me.” I blinked back the tears that wanted to fall and forced myself to move forward. This was just another challenge I had to face, another hurdle in my mission. I couldn’t let Hunter break me, no matter how much he seemed to enjoy tormenting me. I would survive this. I had to. Even if it meant swallowing my pride and scrubbing floors until my hands bled. *** As an Omega from a rival pack, Faelen Earhart’s mission is clear: infiltrate the ruthless Howle Wulf Pack and pose as a servant. But blending in proves harder than expected, especially when she catches the eye of Alpha Hunter Blackethorn—a notorious who loathes weakness and makes Faelen’s life a living nightmare. Despite his cruelty, Faelen finds herself drawn to him, sparking a dangerous attraction that’s as thrilling as it is confusing. When Faelen uncovers an imminent attack from her own pack, she faces an impossible choice: remain loyal to her pack or protect the man she’s come to care for. Her warning changes everything, forcing Hunter to confront his own feelings. In the battle that follows, Faelen’s courage will redefine her loyalty, Hunter’s heart, and the future of both packs.

Faelen’s POV
I woke up feeling a knot of anxiety in my stomach. Today was the day, the day I would be sent on my mission by Alpha Zodd.
It was a rite of passage for every omega in the Belladonna Pack, and I had waited for this moment for three long years.
Since my parents had passed away, both in an accident, Alpha Zodd had taken me in, but only as a ward.
My omega status meant I lived apart from the Alpha’s estate where only members of the pack with higher status lived. I was made to live with servants and low ranking wolves.
The weight of today pressed down heavily on me. My parents had always told me how crucial it was to succeed in this mission.
It was not just about proving my loyalty to the pack, but also about honor and keeping the legacy of my family.
I had just turned nineteen, a year ago more than the right age which omegas were tested, and I was now finally about to face mine.
I took a quick bath, letting the warm water soothe my rising nerves. After that, I dressed in a simple outfit, a yellow gown I had inherited from my mother.
As I stared into the mirror, I combed my long, red hair, inherited from my mother. It cascaded down to my hips, a striking feature that made my beauty stand out among other girls.
I had the face of a goddess too, with dark, striking eyes. My firm, undefiled breast hung above on my chest, my curves delicate and capable of making any man dream of having me.
I tried to steady my shaking hands as I worked through the tangled hairs. When I finished, with a deep breath, I whispered a silent prayer to the moon goddess and to my parents.
I asked the spirits for strength and courage, hoping they would guide me through whatever mission I was to embark on.
I had heard stories from those omegas who returned from their missions, some spoke of simple tasks, while others described challenging trials.
However, few ever made it back, and those who didn’t were quickly forgotten. My father once told me that my family had a history of successful missions.
I clung to that as I finished my preparations. I had to succeed, not just for myself, but to honor their memory and secure a place for myself in the pack.
When I finally left my room, a guard was waiting outside. He was a tall, stern-faced man, his armor reflecting the faint light in the corridor.
“Good morning, Faelen,” he said with a simple nod. “The alpha has summoned you.”
My heart skipped a beat. “The alpha?” I asked, surprised.
He nodded. “Yes. Follow me.”
I trailed behind the guard towards the Alpha’s estate. As we emerged from the servants’ quarters, the cool morning air greeted me on my cheeks, providing a slight relief from the anxiety that gripped me.
I spotted Raid, my best friend, making her way back from the kitchens. Her presence was a comforting sight for my spiked nerves.
“Faelen!” Raid called out, her eyes lighting up as she approached. She was clad in her simple maid’s uniform, but her smile was warm and bright as always.
“Raid,” I said, hurrying over to her. The guard who had accompanied me stood to the side, patiently waiting for us to finish our greetings.
Raid took in my outfit with a look of admiration. “You look stunning, Fae. That dress suits you perfectly.” She complimented.
“Thank you,” I replied, feeling a blush creep up my cheeks. “I’m a bundle of nerves right now. I can’t believe the day has finally come.” I said to Raid.
Raid reached out and squeezed my hand. “You’ll do just fine, Fae. I know you will. Your parents would be so proud of you. You’ve always been so determined and strong.”
I felt a lump forming in my throat and my eyes watered. Raid’s words meant the world to me. “Thank you,” I said softly. “It means a lot to hear that.”
Raid nodded, her expression sincere. The guard shifted in his legs, signaling that it was time for us to go. I took a deep breath, trying to steady my racing heart.
“Wish me luck, Raid,” I said, giving her a small smile.
“I will,” she assured me. “Be safe, Faelen.”
We shared a final embrace before I turned and walked toward the alpha’s estate, the guard leading the way.
As I passed through the grand entrance, I could feel the weight of the day settling on my shoulders. But with Raid’s words echoing in my mind, I felt a bit more prepared to face whatever was ahead.
As we entered, I continued to trail behind the guard. The path to the alpha’s quarters seemed longer than usual.
When we finally arrived, the guard knocked on the heavy wooden door to the Alpha’s quarters. The door opened almost immediately and the guard gestured for me to go inside.
As I stepped into the room, I was greeted by the dim glow of candles reflecting their lights against the stone walls. The air felt thick inside the room.
Another guard stood by the door. His imposing figure, with his armored body and bold presence felt a little intimidating.
The guard stepped forward and closed the door behind me. “The alpha has requested your presence in his private rooms,” he said, pointing towards an entrance to the right covered with curtains.
Surprised though, I nodded, swallowing hard. My eyes shifted to the direction the guard had indicated. This was different from the usual meetings with the Alpha, I thought.
I took a steadying breath and approached it. With a knock on the door wide open, I waited for the Alpha’s response, hoping that today, I would prove myself worthy of the pack’s honor.
“Come!” Alpha Zodd’s thundering voice sounded from within.
Slowly, I stepped in, and the sight I was met with almost made me stumble to the floor. Alpha Zodd was in bed with one of his mistresses.
The woman lay on her back with legs wide spread upwards, and the Alpha had his head buried deep between her legs.
The lady’s moans grew increasingly loud and uncomfortable. They were both fully naked, and the scene was intimate and felt very personal, a quick reminder of the differences between their world and mine.
I froze for a moment, feeling a sense of embarrassment. My cheeks burned, but I quickly straightened myself and cleared my throat.
The alpha looked up, his eyes meeting mine with a casual stare. He raised a hand, signaling for me to wait. I shifted uncomfortably, my eyes fixed on the floor.
The minutes seemed to stretch endlessly as I stood there, listening to their moans, awkwardly aware of every movement in the room.
I could hear the muted sounds of the alpha’s satisfaction, which only heightened my discomfort.
Finally, Alpha Zodd, now visibly satisfied with his performance, climbed out of bed. He stood naked in front of me, his imposing figure a proof to his strength and power.
I forced myself to look directly into his eyes, deliberately avoiding the rest of him. His casual indifference to my discomfort was clear, but I kept my gaze steady.
“Alpha,” I spoke up, trying to keep my voice steady. “You requested my presence.”
“Faelen,” he said, his voice deep and commanding. “I have summoned you because you are about to go an important mission.”
I nodded, swallowing hard. With a grunt of acknowledgment, he moved to a nearby wardrobe and began dressing.
The rustle of the fabric was the only sound in the room as he pulled on his clothes, and I tried to focus on the alpha’s words rather than the unsettling situation.
The naked lady still in bed, glanced at me with a smile, and I shifted my eyes to the floor once again. As I waited for the alpha, the lady who lay twisting strands of her hair in her hands spoke up.
“This one is pretty, why don’t she join us.” She said with a seductive laugh as her eyes glared at me.
“Who? She?” the alpha turned to me. “Oh don’t be daft, she’s only a servant. And today, she’ll be serving me with something far less pleasing than… this.”
I heard the lady’s laugh resonate around the room in a mocking tune. Once dressed, the alpha turned to face me and gestured for me to approach.
“Your mission,” he began, leaning forward, “is to infiltrate the Howle Wulf pack. You will be posing as a maid among newly bought servants. Your job is to gather intelligence on their strategies and weaknesses.” He said.
I blinked, trying to process the meaning of his words. “Infiltrate the Howle Wulf pack?”
“Yes,” Alpha Zodd confirmed. “As a maid. You must blend in completely. Do not draw any attention to yourself or your true identity. You are to observe and report back with any useful information.” He explained.
The shock of the mission left me speechless for a brief moment. I had expected something less… demanding. But I could see the necessity of the task in the Alpha’s eyes.
The Howle Wulf pack was a powerful rival, and intelligence was crucial for Alpha Zodd’s ambitious appetite for power and territories.
“Understood,” I said, forcing my voice to remain calm despite the anxiety bubbling up inside me. “I won’t let you or the pack down, Alpha.”
Alpha Zodd gave a satisfied nod. “I expect nothing less. Prepare yourself for the mission, and remember, your success is important. Do not fail, or I’ll kill you myself.” He threatened.
He dismissed me with a wave of his hand. I turned and left the room, my mind racing. The magnitude of what I had just received to be my mission sank in as I walked down the corridor.
I was to blend in as a maid among a rival pack, gather information, and return safely. The mission was challenging, quite more challenging than I expected. But I was determined to succeed.
Chapter Seventy-nineFaelen’s POVThe days after the victory seemed to blend together in a whirlwind of activity and emotion. It was as if the world had shifted, and everything I had known, everything I had feared, had been replaced by something entirely new… a future I had never dared imagine.I woke up next to Hunter every morning, and with each passing day, it felt more and more like a dream.I could hardly believe that I, Faelen… the girl who had once been a slave, a spy, a tool for manipulation… was now beside him.I hadn’t expected any of it. I thought, perhaps, that I would remain on the fringes of his world, a pawn in the game, but Hunter had changed that.He had proven his loyalty to me, time and again, and I had returned it with all my heart. We were one with each other, in a way that felt right. We were connected… living side by side, laughing together, even sharing those quiet moments that spoke a lot without a single word.Since the night of the celebration of victory, I
Chapter Seventy-eightHunter’s POV The battle was finally over. Belladonna had fallen, and as the dust settled, the tension that had gripped the air for so long began to lift.I watched as my men moved across the battlefield, taking stock of the damage, collecting the fallen, and securing the area. The victory was ours, but It was Faelen’s plan, her intelligence, that had truly turned the tide. Without her, we wouldn’t have been in the position to strike when we did.It didn’t take long for the survivors to come to us… the harmless members of the pack, who had also suffered from Zodd’s cruelty no doubt.Raid, Faelen’s friend was among them. I had promised Faelen the chance to reunite with her best friend earlier, and now I had.I knew it would be an emotional moment for both of them, I couldn’t help but watch closely, watching Faelen walk towards Raid, a soft smile on her face as they locked eyes. There was an exchange, too quiet for me to hear, but I didn’t need to know the words.
Chapter Seventy-sevenHunter’s POV Finally, the day had come.We were ready. Faelen and I stood at the head of the army as we prepared for the surprise attack on Belladonna. The air was thick with anticipation, but there was something more that made me feel confident in the plan we’d set in motion.Faelen had laid it out so carefully, and her insights had changed everything. For once, I felt sure that we would strike the right blow at the right time.I had always been a leader who trusted in my warriors, but there was something different about this attack. It wasn’t just my warriors who we depended on to make the difference. It was Faelen. Her knowledge of Zodd, his tactics, his weaknesses… it had made this possible.I trusted her more than anyone, and though we had never fully spoken of it, I could feel the bond between us growing stronger. Not just as leaders, but as something more. The moon hung low in the sky, the light spilling across the darkened trees. The forest was quiet, li
Chapter Seventy-sixHunter’s POV After the breakfast, we barely made it to the office when I sent a message for Caleb to join us soon. But now, as I watched Faelen move slowly around the room, her gaze resting on the framed photographs on the walls, my mind shifted completely from any strategy session. There was something about the way she stood there, her fingers grazing the edges of a picture, her expression lost in thought, that stirred something deep in me.If I’d known she’d come looking for me last night, I’d have returned the second I finished at the stables. The thought of her waiting, wondering where I was, brought a flash of desire that caught me off guard. My chest tightened, and before I knew it, I was crossing the room, unable to resist the pull any longer.Sliding my arms around her waist, I pulled her to me, and she spun in my hold, her wide eyes meeting mine. Before she could say a word, I pressed my lips to hers, pouring everything I felt into the kiss. Chapter Seventy-fiveFaelen’s POV The morning sun streamed through my window, pulling me from the light, restless sleep I’d managed to catch after a night filled with endless thoughts. My mind picked up exactly where it had left off, circling around Hunter’s absence, the plan I wanted to share, and, undeniably, the burning question of where he’d been.I knew he was more than capable of taking care of himself, but a strange feeling had clawed at me through the night. And worse… some jealous part of my mind whispered that maybe he’d spent the night with someone else.Hunter was, after all, a powerful and desirable Alpha. Every woman in the pack seemed to orbit around him, from the noble daughters of allied families to the giggling servants. As much as I tried to shrug it off, the thought stuck. I wasn’t exactly one of his official “consorts,” and though we shared something far deeper than just passion, there had never been talk of loyalty or commitment. But the idea of him with someone
Chapter Seventy-fourFaelen’s POV That night, I lay in bed, turning over every possibility in my mind, knowing Alpha Zodd wouldn’t let his recent defeat here go unanswered.I couldn’t shake the thought that he’d already heard of my defection. Someone must have informed him by now, and I knew the rage he’d feel.I could even almost picture it… Zodd’s eyes blazing, his infamous rage twisting his face as he unleashed his anger on anyone nearby.I used to stay far from his wrath, feeling an instinctive survival need to avoid setting him off, yet now, the very idea of him made me feel only disgust.I wondered how I had spent so much of my life under him, convincing myself I could tolerate it, or that it was simply the way things were. And now, lying in the safety of the Howle Wulf pack, I felt something I’d barely dared to hope for back in Belladonna… a fierce gladness that I’d escaped.I knew I might have stayed in Zodd’s shadow forever, accepting his cruelty, believing I had no choice.
