33. Letting it all out

The whole day, Zack avoided Lillian whenever she would try to approach him. He even left without saying goodbye to her. She was getting her things and was about to get off of work when Alan called her in.

She went inside after knocking on the door.

“Do you need anything, Mr. King?” She asked, standing in front of him.

“I can’t reach my son. He’s been acting off the whole day. Do you know what happened?” Alan asked with a frown on his face.

“No. He’s been avoiding me as well. I wonder what happened.” She told him with a slight frown.

“Zack told me what happened yesterday. Are you okay?” Alan asked her.

“This isn’t the first time my stepsister did this. I can handle her now.” She told him with a smile.

Alan got up and patted the side of her arm.

“If it gets too tough for you, just tell me I’ll scare them off.” He told her and then lean in and whispered. “I’ll show them my vampire said.”
