Zack was sitting on the edge, on the rooftop. The scene of Lillian and Shadow kissing kept repeating in his mind. He hit his head with his palms to stop himself from thinking of that. He suddenly heard the door open and looked back. He saw Lillian walking with her eyes glued to her phone. She had this love-struck smile which pained his heart because he knew it was because of Shadow. He thought of leaving, but he couldn’t, so he slowly walked up to her and hugged her from behind. He could feel her fighting against him, but he didn’t want to let her go. “LET ME GO!” she yelled at him. “I can’t.” He told her. She froze when she realised who this voice belonged to. “Can’t you give me a chance?” he asked her in a distressed tone. Lillian let her hands drop. “You can’t force someone to like you. It doesn’t work that way. Besides, I have some I like already.” She told him. He didn’t want to listen to that. He turned her around angrily.
The three were now sitting at a table on the rooftop. “So, you’re a witch?” Lillian asked her. “Yes.” Olivia replied. “So… is it a coincidence that we met at the hospital and the dorms?” she asked her. “The hospital was a coincidence. The dorm mmm… not really.” Olivia told her. “Why are you following me, then?” she asked her. Olivia glanced at Zack, who was looking at her, annoyed. “She said that my kind killed your birth parents and you’re in danger.” he answered her instead of Olivia. She looked at them, shocked. “What do you mean? My dad was killed by a wolf. I remember that.” She told them, not believing what she just heard. Olivia shook her head. “No, they were your adoptive parents. I know that because I was the one who helped your birth mother deliver you. And at her request, I left you in the care of humans that I thought would be best for you.” Olivia told her. Zack and Lillian looked at her in shock. “B-
Lillian was very interested in the witch kind and was listening to Olivia with interest. “Okay. So, has anyone ever broken the blood oath?” she asked her. “Some, yes. When it was first introduced.” Olivia told her. “The blood oath is very scary, and I think that is one of the reasons why no one would dare to break it. But there are not a lot of blood oaths made in the first place. It is only used for really important things. Like for keeping peace etc. but can use it for personal use too if we want. There’s no law against that.” Olivia told her. She nodded understandingly. “But why are you protecting me?” I mean, I’m not related to you or anything? Am I? She asked her.” she asked her. Olivia sighed. “There are some things that are better unsaid. Your mother wanted you to live a normal life.” Olivia told her. “But then, why do I need protection? Why me?” she asked her in a frustrated tone. “I’m sorry. I can’t tell.” Olivia told her.
Ryan was staring at the documents blankly when he heard a knock on his door. He looked up and saw Shadow standing by the door. “I didn’t think you’d be the one to knock.” Ryan told him. “Fine. Next time I’ll barge in.” He told him, closing the door and walked inside his office. They were at his office at the university. There was still a little time before the classes started. “I’m your professor, remember?” Ryan reminded him. “Oh, and I’m so afraid.” Shadow said sarcastically and sat down in front of him. “I can get you kicked out of the university and you won’t be able to see Lily ever again.” Ryan told him. “Pfft. She’s already mine in university or out of it. She already agreed to be in a relationship with me.” He told him. Ryan looked at him, dumbfounded. “You’re joking?” Ry
Lillian had fallen asleep as she was thinking when she woke up. It was already time for university. She got up and changed into a black top with black faded out tights. When she got out of her room, she looked for Olivia, but she wasn’t there, so she thought she left earlier than her. She went to the university and called Shadow because they agreed to meet there. She was talking to him when someone jumped at her from behind and scared the hell out of her. She looked back, ready to fight the person who did it when she saw Zack. “Damn you, Zack. I almost had a heart attack.” She told him while still on the call with her boyfriend. “I would never let you die.” Zack grinned at her. “What happened?” Shadow asked. “Nothing, my idiot friend just gave me a jump scare.” She told him, “I’ll see you in class.” She saw Zack rolling his eyes and hit his knee with her foot. He pretended like he was in deep pain. She rolled her
Ryan, who was near them, saw the incident and quickly rushed over to her. He jumped off the railing and grabbed her wrist. With his other hand, he grabbed the railing bar. Lillian felt a familiar electric shock go through her entire body. It was the same kind she felt when she first touched Shadow. “Don’t let go!” he told her. She nodded and grabbed his hand with both of her hands. Some people saw them and quickly rushed over to help. With impressive strength, he pulled her up to those people who were reaching out to them. A few hands grabbed her and pulled her over to safety while Ryan pulled himself up. He crouched down to her and looked at her with a serious expression. “Are you okay? Did you get hurt?” he asked her with a hint of concern in his tone. She was still shaken by what happened, but she shook her head. “Good. Can you get up?” he asked her. She looked at him and nodded. He offered his hand to her. She grabbed his h
He was standing outside the office and was listening to Lillian tell him the entire story. His hands curled up into a tight fist as he listened. “I should’ve killed her at the hospital.” He said in a low, angry tone. When the dean denied her access, he knew that it was time for him to intervene. He pushed the door open and was surprised to see Shadow and Olivia there. When he walked past him, he saw another man in the room and didn't know who he person was but he knew instantly that he was also a werewolf and he had questions, but Lillian’s case was more important to him at the moment. He winked at Lillian as he passed by and saw her give him a smile. He stood in front of the dean and looked at him. “Mr. Flores, please give us access to the footages.” Zack told him. “And you are?” henry asked in an offended tone. Zack took out his wallet and took out his business card. He gave it to him. “Zack king.” He told him. The dean looked at him sh
After classes were over and it was break time for them, Lillian walked up to Aurora with her arms crossed. She glowered at her. “Follow me.” She told her. “Or what?” Aurora asked, arrogantly. “Or else I will post what you did everywhere.” She told her. Lillian turned around and left. Aurora groaned in annoyance, but followed her. She led her up to the rooftop because they would be alone and then looked at her. “What?” Aurora snapped at her. “You better stop for your parents’ sake! What you did was a crime and I can put you in jail for attempted murder! I’m only giving you one last chance because mom and dad took me in and that’s all! You better leave your bitchiness behind or I’m not holding back!” She snapped back at her. “Fuck you and your innocent drama! You just a bitch who’s pare-“ SLAP! Lillian slapped her across her face before she could talk badly about her parents. “You’re the dramatic one who thinks that the world
