Hazel walked into the sitting room and slumped onto the chair, tossing her handbag on the round transparent glass table. She sighed like she was stressed out and looked at Logan who was already seated at the other end.

“Why did you call me to come here so late at night? Don’t tell me you didn’t trust that I would keep the truth away from Dad? Logan paused and scratched his head, trying to figure out which question to answer first. Hazel was always unstable with words whenever she wasn’t in a good mood.
