Alpha Rex’s POV

I chuckle as droplets of water fall from her eyelashes and shake my head, “feel better now do you?”

She nodded with a huge smile on her face, but her eyes are full of sadness and it’s breaking me, “Clair, why are you so sad and trying to hide it from me?”

She shook her head, “I’m not really, I understand, I’m not the prettiest girl and,” she looked down at the ground, “I’m chubby,” she shrugged, “I’d rather reject you then have to accept your rejection if you don’t mind it happening that way.”

My hands cupped her face and tilted it up to my own, “I’d never reject you and don’t you think about rejecting me, because I will never accept it.”   She blinked her eyes at me, and I couldn’t help but smile, “if you tell me that I am too old, or not good enough for you, I’d believe that, but you my sweet mate, are the most stunning woman I’ve ever laid my eyes on.”   I removed my hands from her face and took her hand and placed a soft kiss on the back of it, “would you like to walk or sit and talk awhile.”

She shook her head and smiled, “talking is good,” she looked down at her feet, “these shoes aren’t for walking in the forest,” she sighed.

I chuckled, “no they aren’t,” I looked her up and down and smiled, “neither is that dress.”

She shook her head, “I wasn’t prepared to be in the forest,” she looked around, “I mean, we didn’t prepare at all, we just left when you called my brother, we needed to get here, Melody was our only thoughts.” 

I chuckled, “so, are you saying you’ve been in that dress for the last 5 days?”

Her cheeks flushed bright red and she nodded, “I feel disgusting now and probably smell bad.”

I laughed, “you smell amazing to me, intoxicating really, I mean I’ve always loved watermelon, but to have my mate smell like one is the best.”

She giggled, “I smell like watermelon to you, really?”

I licked my lips, “you do,” I stepped closer to her, “I’m really curious if you taste as good as you smell.”

Her eyes went wide, and she took a step back, “excuse me,” she shook her head, “that’s a bit much to ask a girl now don’t you think?”

I raised my hands in surrender, “I was going to ask for a kiss.”            

I didn’t think anyone’s cheeks could turn any redder then hers already did, but she proved me wrong, “oh, sorry,” she whispered.

I smiled, “well?”

She creased her brows, “well what?”

I chuckled, “can I kiss you?”

She bit her bottom lip and nodded, “sure, I guess it’s okay.”

I stepped up to her and smiled, “Clair, have you ever been kissed?”

She rolled her eyes, “once or twice.”

I arched a brow and put my arms around her waist, pulling her into me, I have a feeling she’s lying, but I’m not going to call her out on it, I’ll know soon enough.  I leaned down and brushed my lips to hers, her entire body stiffened, and it took a second for her lips to move with mine before she relaxed.  Yea, my girl is very inexperienced and now I need to make sure she feels confident about herself and her sexuality.  I softly bit her bottom lip, and she gasped, giving my tongue access and I deepened our kiss.  Her hands moved from my arms to around my neck and she moaned as I our tongue swirled around each other’s. 

I pulled away and broke the kiss and she smiled up at me, “that was really nice,” she fluttered her lashes, and my heart did a summersault in my chest.

I looked into her beautiful blue eyes and smiled, “you taste so sweet, I may never get enough of you.”

She giggled, “you can kiss me again if you like.”  I wasted no time capturing her lips, her hand moved into my hair and the sparks flew through my entire body with her touch.   She broke our kiss as she pulled my hair, she sucked in a gulp of air and licked her lips.

I smiled, “we need to get you some clothes, you’ll be staying here and…”

She interrupted me, “staying here, I have school and there are things going on in my pack that I need to help with.”

I shook my head, “you will stay for a few weeks, Melody cannot leave right away,” I do mean she is staying here, but I also need to win her over before she agrees to it. 

She smiled, “I do need to get some clothes, do you think you could drive me to a store?”

I knocked at her door, “Luna Clair, you ready?”

She opened her door and smiled, “Good morning, Alpha Rex,” she took my hand and kissed me on the cheek, “I’m ready.”

I smiled at her, it’s been 2 weeks, and she knows every pack members name and she looks adorable in her flannel shirt, tight as fuck jeans and hiking boots.  We walk to the car, “have you decided what you’re going to do?”

She beamed me a beautiful smile and nodded as she climbed in the Jeep, “I’m staying here of course, how can a Luna of a pack leave it,” she shook her head.

I chuckled, “I’m sure the Alpha of this pack is thrilled with that decision.”

She shook her head, “I hope Domino will be okay with this,” she bit her bottom lip.

I nodded, “he will be fine, he has his Luna, and he already said he would miss you the second he knew I was your mate, it’s how things go Clair.”

She arched her brow, “so you knew I would stay?”

I winked at her, “I was doing everything I could think of to ensure that you would, and I obviously did it all right.”

She smiled, “you're very charming Alpha Rex, and a very good kisser.”

I laughed, “you are the first to call me charming and you make kissing you easy, with those sweet lips of yours,” I wiggled my brows, “both sets.”

She blushed, “that did feel amazing last night,” she bit her bottom lip, “but that’s as far as we will go until the union ceremony.”

I pulled in front of Melody’s cottage, “I’m good with that sweetheart, I'll lick you from top to bottom every chance you allow me too,” I winked at her as I helped her out of the jeep, “did I tell you how beautiful you are today?”

She shook her head, “no, you're slacking already Alpha.”

I pulled her into my arms, “you're beautiful, My Luna,” I captured her lips in a heated kiss.
