Miriam gazed through the window as Christain drove her back home. The car ride seemed too tight-lipped as Christain decided to break the silence. "I can't wait for the day that we would have our own niche to call our home," Christian muttered, his gaze fixed on the road, the instant he got no reply! He glanced at Miriam before staring back at the road.

"Miriam?" He called but she didn't bother to reply. He found a safe place somewhere before parking his car.

"What happened? Why have you stopped?" She asked.

"I didn't want you to feel insecure about Lara," Christain tried to explain but Miriam caught him short. "I don't feel insecure, I don't mind her at all," she replied.

"Common, I can see that you are mad at me! Lara is my ex but you are my present and my future Miriam," Christian muttered, pulling her hands into his giant once, his little words made Miriam smile.

"That's the smile I want to see on your face, I want to take you somewhere.". Christian muttered.

"Where?" Miriam asked

"It's a surprise," Christain said before kissing her hands and dropping them slowly, and putting the car engine to life.

It was dark when Christain pulled up in a building. "What are we doing here?" Miriam asked. "Just wait till you see," he said getting down from the car, he walked towards her side before opening the door for her, he stretched his hands for her to take.

Miriam gave him a small smile before grabbing onto it. "Whose house is this?" She asked the minutes they came in front of a very expensive surrounding. "It our house, the one we would leave together and raise our kids," he muttered making Miriam's eyes flicker in amazement.

"Come inside, I have something to show you," Christain said as they trudged inside the building. The house was richly built and arranged already, They both climbed the stairs hand in hand before moving left. Miriam watched as Christain pushed a specific door before giving her access to walk inside.

She walked inside before picking one of the dolls laying scattered everywhere. The room was decorated childishly, "this is where our first child would stay," he muttered before hugging her from behind.

"Oh my God, when did you have time to decorate all this?" She asked.

"It was supposed to be something I wanted to show you on our wedding night but then again I wanted to show you how much you have occupied all the space in my heart, I love you Miriam and it only you in my heart," Christian said kissing her cheeks before swirling her around to face him.

"I don't want you to ever doubt my love for you, I want to have cute babies with you." He said pushing her fallen have at the back of her ear.

"I'm sorry for doubting you Christain, I promise you that I won't make you worry like this again." Miriam muttered with a smile. Christian placed a soft kiss on her forehead, and cheeks before pulling her into a hug.

"When did you get back to New York?" Lara's friend asked as the sat down in the coffee shop sipping from their chilled coffee.

"I just got back," Lara said.

"Don't tell me you got back because you heard the news about your ex getting married. He seemed to have moved on faster than I thought," Daisy said.

"Who said he had moved on? He is definitely just using that girl to make me jealous," Lara said. "I doubt he would do that as a public announcement that got on the news line, I think Christain is definitely serious about this one." Daisy let out.

"Moreover don't forget that you ended things with him, why do you still want him back?" Daisy asked. "Just believe that we belong together, Christain is mine and no one else." Lara muttered.

"Give me that Miriam, you ain't suppose to do any of this anymore! You are getting married to a millionaire son soon," Miriam's best friend Doris said trying to collect the sharp knife she used in slicing the beef. "Shush, people might hear you," Miriam said quietly before checking around the market were they sold frozen beef.

"But it's the truth, many would kill for an opportunity like yours," Doris said chewing from the neatly package biscuits nylon.

"Are you Miriam Alexander?" A woman holding a report book and a man holding a camera appeared in front of her.

"You see, you are already a celebrity already," Dorris whispered close to Miriam's ear making her wiggle her head. "We're from the New Airline Magazine, we would like to interview you and probably make you the front cover of our magazine," The lady told with a beaming and comforting smile.

"Uhmm, why?" Miriam asked.

"Because we want to have someone like you on our magazine if you don't mind," the lady said making Miriam stare at Dorris who gave her a nod for her to accept.

"I should leave, I would talk to you later in the day," Dorris said before leaving hurriedly. "So tell us Miss Miriam, how did you meet Christian Robert?" The interviewer asked.

"Uhm, it happened when I was coming back home from work! He had gotten into an accident and obviously he needed help. I seriously didn't know that helping that man that day meant helping my future husband," Miriam muttered making the woman trying to interview her blush.

"How romantic," The woman let out.

"Seriously, Christian is a nice and charming man and i think I'm so lucky to have him," Miriam said staring at her finger. "So, any date set on your wedding?" The interviewer asked but the beeping sound of Miriam's phone distracted their interview.

"Sorry, I need to get this." Miriam said, standing up to move to a quiet place. Miriam's face pulled up in a wide grin when she noticed the caller id.

"Hello?" She muttered to the other line.

"Hello babe?" Christian replied making her blush. "I called to tell you that I would be out with my friends, they are throwing me a bachelor party! I hope it fine with you?" Christian asked.

"I can't believe that you called me because you want to have some time alone with your friend," Miriam said with a little chuckle.

"Mr romantic can you just come over already, let have our night with you as a bachelor before you get swept away." The voices of his friends echoed to Miriam's ear making her blush.

"Go on," she said.

"I promise to call you when this is over, I love you," Christain let out before blowing an invisible kiss through the phone.

"I love you too, Alright, enjoy and have fun." Miriam said before putting the call off.

Oh my Goodness!” Miriam said, rubbing her forehead. “That’s a great defense!” Christian voiced out.“Your ex-husband is such a liar,” Doris said, wiggling her head in shame.
