Her caramel eyes stare into her pancakes. She was yet to take a bite when ‘Thank you.’ falls from her pink lips.

Somehow those two words were not what I thought she would say. I was expecting resistance and annoyance that she hadn’t had the chance to kill them herself.

“You may think that I’m an asshole, little wolf, but I will do whatever I need to do to protect you. Now eat.”

She heads back upstairs after breakfast. Telling me that she wants to draw. Again, not what I was expecting. And now more than ever, she seems unpredictable.
