"I didn't die last night... shit!" she spat immediately after she woke up.

To wake up from being a free-willed omega to a pet was a nightmare.

She had bite marks all over her body. Richard had bitten her shoulder.

Luke had bitten her thigh, Austin had bitten her arm. She groaned, seeing the faint marks that would probably never heal.

The bites of four future alphas.

She didn't want to go to school today.

Her neck was sore from Daniel's bite the most, the mark so visible even her werewolf healing couldn't cover it by morning.

She would have to use makeup on her neck. She sighed, feeling something cold trail over her thigh.

Flipping the sheets over, a scream of horror left her throat, and she fell off the bed.

There was a snake in her bed. The door to her bedroom opened, a wide, excited grin on her face that fell into disappointment.

"Ugh, you're not dead!" she shrieked in anger, grabbing the snake by the neck.

"Florida, are you crazy... are you trying to kill me?"

Florida closed the distance between them and gave her a hard slap that made her body run cold.

"Sister..." she gasped in shock.

In all her life, her sister had been the only one who had shown kindness.

"Why?"

Tears filled her eyes.

"Why?" Florida repeated, wrapping her hand around her neck and squeezing the breath out of her.

"I have been kind to you... I supported you even though everyone hated you, and this is how you repay me? By stabbing me in the back to become a maiden... a position you are unworthy of!"

"Do you know what a maiden is?"

"Yes. It's the highest honor of any she-wolf, to directly be a priestess of the Moon Goddess."

"Why would they give me such an important position? They lied... they only want to use me as their pet, so when I die mysteriously, no one will question it... I need you to believe me, sister."

"How dare you slander the alpha heirs! You ungrateful bitch!" Florida spat, grabbing a fistful of her hair. "Just because everyone hates you because of your incompetence... because you are fat and ugly, you think you can go around throwing accusations that will have your family executed? A pet to werewolves is the equivalent of a prostitute! You will not drag down this family with your lies."

Painful tears streamed down her cheeks.

"You don't believe me..."

"Even if it is the truth... take it to the grave." Florida turned her back on her. "You will not dishonor this family. As you are leaving, Father will break all ties with you. If what you say is true, the deal has already been signed. Father has been given a minor rank that will elevate our status in exchange for you."

"That is all you are worth, and the least you can do for this family is die quietly."

The door shut behind her.

And she cried in silence with every strength she had left in her body.

In this life, there are no friends, no family, no allies, only enemies now.

She wiped her tears, put on her uniform, and headed for school, except her teacher, Janis, who always picked on her.

It seemed this year would be more miserable than the last, and she was not looking forward to it as she spotted a flat tire on her car.

Apart from the bullying, her life had been nothing exciting until yesterday.

She walked all the way to school. Being a werewolf made it easier. She had average speed, better than a human, as fast as a car, but she could easily get exhausted.

A loud screeching sound caught her attention, and she turned in fright as a car ran right into her. She flew, collided with a tree, and rolled over in the middle of the road where the cars drove around her.

"Yo, Daniel, you don't think she's dead, do you?" she heard Luke's voice.

A loud ringing sound was in her left ear.

Dark blood spilled on the road.

"Meet us at school if you're alive, and if you don't, we'll play a game later..." Austin mocked cruelly as they drove away laughing.

Her head was pounding. Everything hurt as she sat up. She had never had a boyfriend or had any close male friends because they thought she was weird, and the ones who now spoke to her treated her as a pet for sport.

She scoffed as she stood up and continued limping to school.

A car drove up to her, and she turned to see a familiar-looking face, but she couldn't place it.

"Need a ride?" the beautiful she-wolf smiled at her.

She sighed, then sat in the shotgun. The beautiful she-wolf had a lollipop between her lips, and rock music played loudly on the speaker.

She looked up to see the early sunlight cast on her bleached-blonde hair and amethyst eyes, the symbol of the Alec family, and a very ethereal-looking owner who did not seem happy with her.

Even though the she-wolf smiled, she had a bad feeling about this.

"Dorothy, right?"

She held her breath. This was even worse than being hit by a car as she recognized who this she-wolf was.

"How do you know my name?"

"Everybody knows your name by now. Come on, the wolf chosen by the four alphas... keep up." The she-wolf said, "I'm Isabella Alec, Luna to be..."

That was the name of the devil... the queen of their school.

Isabella turned her evil gaze at her.

"And who are you to Daniel?"

"No one," she replied as her fingers dug into her palm.

Isabella stepped on the brakes suddenly, and her head slammed against the window.

"Sorry, my bad."

Her stomach dropped.

"It's good to know you're nothing... I heard that one of the four alpha heirs might choose you as their future Luna, that you are a maiden... I also know that you are a pet. Let me be clear." Isabella looked her dead in the eye. "Daniel is mine."

She nodded in acknowledgment of her declaration.

She quickly opened the car door to escape the tiny space, only for her door to hit another car.

"Watch what you are doing! Are you blind?"

His deep voice caused her stomach to flip as he stepped out of the car and stood before an angry-looking Luke.

His yelling had drawn the attention of a lot of students. I didn't dare to accuse him publicly of hitting me with his car since I had no evidence; it would ruin what was left of my shattered reputation.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't see your car there."

"Put your number in it," he said, shoving a phone in her hand without an amused look in his blue eyes, so clear it looked like a summer sky. His dark hair was in a bun. This was the first time she got a close look at him in daylight.

How could someone so evil be so handsome?

Confused, she stuttered, "I don't want you to contact me."

He looked even more pissed than yesterday.

"You hit my car," he said it so slowly, like she was retarded. "You are paying for the repainting."

"You hit me!" she gritted between her teeth in a tone low enough for passers-by not to hear.

"Please, you say that like your life is worth something. This dent on my car, even if I sell you twice, it won't pay for the damage." He spat spitefully, and she snapped.

"Oh, so what should I do, get you a kidney, you whiny little brat? I freaking apologized!"

Which is what she would have said if she wanted to be ostracized from this academy for the rest of her life, and it was a long life.

His presence hovered behind her, and only yesterday she had sniffed it, and her body had already registered it.

She wanted nothing to do with him, so she pretended not to notice him behind her.

"I'll find a way to fix your car. Now, will you let me go, or are you going to detain me further?"

The trail of rough fingers over her neck made her jump. Big hands wrapped protectively around her waist.

"Easy there, I'm not biting today."

Daniel's voice rasped so deep by her ear.

"What do you want now!"

"Can't I greet my mate good morning?" he murmured, and she felt her skin crawl.

"Why are you doing this?" she asked in confusion as she felt his claws pierce into her belly.

She bit her lip and tasted blood on her tongue.

"Shhhh, play along until we get rid of her," he whispered as Isabella glared hard at him.

"Damn you!" she spat in fury as Isabella slammed the car door in anger and walked away with her crew.

As soon as Isabella was out of sight, he released her, and she fell on her knees.

A bitter laugh slipped out of her lips.

"Wooooow, so you reject me, take away my dignity by referring to me as a pet. Then you take me away from my family and use me to rid yourself of unwanted company. You keep tossing me around like a rag doll."

"Someone is going to hear you!"

"I don't give a shit. They already know I'm your pet anyway."

"Maiden!" he corrected.

"Formality!" she snapped, trembling.

"Would you prefer if I refer to you in public to what I really see you as?" He closed the space between them as she stubbornly rose to her feet, refusing to be on her knees before him.

"What!" she glared at him unblinkingly, her breath coming hard, burning her lungs.

"Nothing... you are from a worthless, lowly family. We picked you because we knew no one was going to save you..."

Their voices were low with smiles on their faces. If anyone observed the situation, they would think he was flirting with her.

Warm hands settled on her shoulders, his whisper like knives in her ear.

"To even be our pet is an honor... being a fake maiden is an even greater honor..." Austin said, rubbing her shoulders.

"What is going to happen to me?" she asked, holding her breath.

"You are going to entertain us, and if we get bored..." He whispered in her ear, "We will kill you.”

"Who are you?" His eyes narrowed when he realized he could not escape the cloaked person's grip."What is this strength..." He tried to force the cloaked figure off as they lifted the cold end of a gun and placed it on his forehead."What do you want? Is it money? I'll give you anything you want," he bargained."I don't want anything from you... just your life."He got a glimpse of the figure's face and froze."You? How is this possible? You are nothing but a pet!"She cocked her gun."Where is the Moon Orb?"Her voice was different, like a totally different person. His blood ran cold."You are the alpha serial killer. But you haven't answered my question, so perhaps not as smart as they say.""You won't get away with this. I don't know how you got in here, but there are guards everywhere. "Being intimate with four alphas was a dream come true." She read the book like it was the very air she was breathing. Curse whoever had suggested this novel to her.She had a test on Tuesday; she really couldn't focus. ADHD was the worst. With how terrible her grade had gotten, if she didn't improve soon, her mom would kill her, yet she couldn't stop reading. She felt every thrust, every kiss, every touch like she was the promiscuous female lead in the novel, and it only made her super interested."Control yourself, Dora. You are in the library," she thought to herself, looking everywhere. It was quiet, dark, and almost deserted. Most werewolves didn't read because they didn't have to, but she did because she had no choice.Since she was what they called a "wolf-less freak," you'd think the universe would have been merciful enough to make her brilliant. Her books lay open, diagrams and notes sprawled across the table. She leaned in closer, frowning at the detailed illustration of the
