Chapter 10 Request

At the nurse station, Lena didn’t know Vincent was in a ward near her. But she recognized the girl who had just bumped into her was Vincent’s secretary, Sophia.

She had just spoken to Sophia yesterday morning at a coffee shop near their workplace. She let Sophia spill a cup of hot coffee on her clothes on purpose. It wasn’t the most rightful thing to do, but she needed to be friends with Sophia to get her son’s information.

“Hi, it’s you!” Lena smiled at the absent-minded young girl.

Sophia was confused at first, and then she widened her eyes when she recognized it was Lena she had just bumped into, again.

“I am so sorry!” she exclaimed, covering her mouth with the back of her hand, forgetting she still had papers in her grip. “I can’t believe I did it again! Are you alright?!” she asked.

Lena nodded her head.

“Don’t worry. It’s okay,” she said. Her ribs kind of hurt because of the bump, but nothing worth mentioning.

“What are you doing here in the hospital?” she asked the young secretary with a caring tone, “It’s such a coincidence.”

Sophia recalled the secret daughter her cold-faced boss had just told her. And she realized Vincent could be watching her from his ward right now. She somehow panicked even more.

“Nothing! I am just here to visit a friend,” she said, and knelt on the floor to collect the scattered paper.

Lena squatted down and helped her. The beautiful curve of the back of Lena’s neck caught Vincent’s eyes. He felt his cock was about to explode and fought hard not to mastur/b**e himself like a real creep.

Lena didn’t know that. She picked up one of those papers, and saw Vincent’s signature at the bottom of it. It was familiar handwriting, telling her that she had gotten the right person. Her heart ached quietly, but she decided not to think about it today. There was a cardiologist she needed to meet later.

“Here you are,” she passed the paper to Sophia, and smiled at the flustered girl.

Sophia whispered “Thanks” to Lena and quickly left with her head lowered. She really didn’t want to be called back by her fractious boss and get a lecture.

Lena sighed, looking at Sophia’s hurried back. In order to get her son’s information, she had to find a way to ask Sophia out for a meal.

She turned around, and started to walk towards the cardiologist’s office. When she walked past Vincent’s ward, she noticed there was something odd about the patient.

The door of the ward was wide open. Lena could see inside it. She saw whoever the patient was lying prone on the bed, with the cover on his body and head as if hiding from someone or something. Only he didn’t hide it very well. His left shank somehow stuck out from the edge of the bed. And since he was keeping really still under the cover, absolutely motionlessly, almost not breathing,

Lena thought he was dead, or on the verge of dying.

She turned around to find a nurse or doctor to help, but the nurse who had just answered her questions had already left. Lena hesitated for a moment, and then slowly walked into the ward.

“Hello,” she asked the person hiding under the cover worriedly and carefully, “Are you alright? Do you need help?”

Vincent felt his twitching cock had just grown harder. Her voice was so soft and soothing, like the tenderest tongue had just licked through his shaft. She was like the woman he would kill himself to have a dinner with, but he couldn’t control his desire for her. As long as she was in his eyesight, all he could think about was how to throw her on the bed to peel her clothes off to make her scream his name. It was really disrespectful, and sick, and creepy. He didn’t want to scare her.

“Go away,” he said from below the cover. His voice was hoarse and dry because of the burning desire.

Lena noticed that. She flushed and quickly went out of the ward. As a different kind of doctor, she knew there were all sorts of patients. But in a ward, in the middle of the day, and with a wide-opened door. It was just…wild!

She got goosebumps on her arms but quickly shook that feeling away and went to the cardiologist’s office.

The doctor examined her. The initial result was fine, but she needed to come back a few days later for the results of other examinations.

Lena thanked the doctor and went back home. It was Friday afternoon. Angela went out to the park with her new nanny. Lena somehow felt really tired. She took a quick shower and then went to her bedroom to take a nap.

Half an hour later, when Angela came back home, the smell of Vincent was still on Lena’s coat. The little girl recalled how Lena cried that night because of her father. She got a little bit angry.

She asked the nanny to take a shower and then picked up the phone and dialed Vincent’s number.

Outside Vincent’s office, Sophia had just put herself together from the huge shock of Vincent having a secret daughter.

She had always known there would be drama inside such a wealthy family. But she was just a little secretary with a thin paycheck, not a lawyer or something like that! She really didn’t want to be murdered by Talia for covering Vincent’s unfaithful ass.

She kept telling herself to calm down and go back to her normal work. Suddenly, the phone on the desk rang. She quickly picked it up out of habit. The next moment, a little girl’s voice came from inside it. Sophia almost threw the receiver out!

“Is this Vincent Lanton’s office?” the very, very, very young and cute little girl’s voice asked.

Sophia almost shivered when she spoke.

“Yes,” she said, and then asked, feeling very, very stupid, “Who is this?”

Angela didn’t reply right away. She thought for a while and then said, “Could you please tell Vincent to stay away from my Mommy? He knows who I am.”
