Aiden finally agreed to leave after I threatened him that I wouldn’t give him any more kisses. I had begged him in every way possible to leave me at the clinic and return to his pack since I had people looking after me already. But he refused to listen to me. He was creating a scene because of how worried he was about my sudden headache. After the threat, he left. I chucked wondering why such threats would cause him to back down, as unrelenting as he was.

“What was that?” I asked my wolf when we were finally alone.
