Alpha Lucas held their small hands and led them outside. He didn't know what to think seeing Karson act all caring and affectionate with the kids. Did he know they were Irene's kids?

No, it didn't seem like he did. If anything, Irene would be particular about not wanting Karson to find out. It was no gainsaying that Karson had his eyes on Irene. The way he stared at her and even fought for her attention, it was starting to annoy Alpha Lucas.

He didn't know he was already pissed off until he saw Karson being cute around the kids. Who knew that young and grumpy Alpha had a sweet side to him?

Tempted to ask the kids what the conversation was all about, he decided to start with something light, "how did you two get here? You made mummy so worried. Did you come here all by yourselves?"

"No," Karin replied, shaking her head. "Some men tried to kidnap us but they drove us here saying they'll help us find mummy."

"We escaped," Carl chipped in. "I'm so full! That food was delicious."
