Just when Aurora thought her task was done, Marcus came in the sunroom where she was and purposely spilled a drink on the floor.

‘’When you are done cleaning this up, you have dinner to prepare. And make sure it is done before two so my guests can have food when they arrive. You better not mess this up, or else.’’ Marcus shook a fist in Aurora’s face.

She cleaned the spot, then hurried to the kitchen.

‘’Good, you are here. Make me something to eat,’’ Jane, the Alpha’s sister, said.

Not able to say anything, Aurora did as she was told. Making the girl who was younger than her a turkey sandwich.

Jane frowned. ‘’What the fuck is this?’’ She picked up one half of the sandwich, licked it off, then slapped Aurora in the face with it.

The other half she threw it at the wall.

‘’I am going to let my brother know that you were disobedient. Or maybe I should punish you myself.’’

Jane strike Aurora across the cheek. When she was about to hit her again, Amelia caught her hand.

Jane turned on her and tried to hit her, but again, Amelia caught her hand. ‘’It seems as if you are forgetting your place.’’

‘’Just wait until I tell my brother about this. He will deal with you accordingly.’’

‘’This is how you saw your father treat your mother?’’

‘’Don’t speak about something you don’t know!’’ Jane yelled.

‘’I hope that when you come of age, your mate abuse you just as how you all are doing to poor Aurora, then after all that, rejects you as well.’’

Jane huffed and left the kitchen, but not before snarling at Aurora.

‘’You think you are helping me, but you are doing more harm than good.’’

‘’I can’t help it. I am not used to seeing people being treated this badly. This is the opposite of my pack. We protected each other, never laid a finger on anyone.’’

‘’You should be careful; Marcus will turn on you, too. Mate or not.’’

‘’He can try, but it will be his biggest regret.’’

‘’I am done talking to you. I need to cook.’’

When Amelia left, the Beta entered the kitchen. His face broke out into a smile when he saw Aurora.

‘’Well, if it isn’t the little slave.’’

She froze, then slowly turned around to confirm if it was who she thought it was, while avoiding his eyes.

‘’Beta Jacob.’’

‘’The one and only.’’ He grinned.

Aurora gulped; she didn’t know who she hated more. The Alpha or his Beta.

While Marcus would only beat her, Jacob had other plans. She was his plaything, and he didn’t care that he had his mate.

‘’Looking ripe, I can smell that your wolf is finally mature too.’’ He took a sniff. ‘’Getting me hard already.’’

He moved closer, close enough so he could stick his tongue out and lick the side of Aurora’s face.

‘’Fuck, you always taste so good. Is it the fear?’’

Jacob grabbed Aurora’s face, squeezing it with his hand so her mouth was slightly open for him to force his mouth on hers. He stuck his tongue in her mouth and she made a gagging sound.

‘’I like when you do that. It often makes me imagine what my cock would make you do.’’

Aurora tried to move away, but Jacob grabbed her by the back of the neck.

Aurora managed to move away but slipped on the half sandwich that was on the ground. Jacob laughed at this.

When she tried to get up, Jacob knelt behind her. Wet his index finger in his mouth, lifted her dress, shifted her underwear and stuck his finger inside her.

Aurora gritted her teeth, trying to move away, but with his free hand, Jacob held her around her waist and began to pump his finger in and out of her.

Aurora cried out.

‘’You like that, don’t you?’’ He gave a nasty laugh.

‘’Please stop.’’ She begged.

‘’Stop? I want to be inside of you.’’ He laughed.

She tried to move away, but he moved along with her.

‘’Jacob, enough!’’ Marcus roared.

Jacob got up with a laugh. ‘’You are lucky this time.’’ He said before walking out.

Aurora sat on the floor, crying.

Marcus, who had no pity for her, slapped her across the face, then dragged her to her feet.

‘’You have a task to do. I expected to see pots on fire, but instead you are in here fucking with a mated wolf.’’ He punched her in the stomach, knocking the wind out of her.

‘’You better not let Lilly know about this, because I won’t be saving you from her next time. I am sick of you; your life is meaningless, and I will be glad to dispose of you.’’

Marcus pushed her away. ‘’Get to cooking, and you better not disgrace me before my guests when they come.’’

Jane hurried away from the kitchen door as Marcus made his way out. She had a smirk on her face as she hurried to tell Lilly what she just saw.

Aurora made the best meal she could, hoping that Marcus and the Blood Moon pack would be impressed. Because she knew what Marcus would do if she didn't and there was no telling what the other pack Alpha would do to her.

Aurora looked around before tasting the roast beef. It was a silly rule, but she couldn’t taste any of the food she cooked, so if it was bad, she had no idea.

She then tasted a piece of chicken and before she knew it, she ate it all.

Marcus walked into the kitchen to see how things were progressing.

''You little fuck up, you think this is a joke? My guests are close by, and you are still not done!'’

 Marcus raised his hand to slap her, but Amelia stopped him.

‘’Marcus, why must you be so cruel? She is only one person and trying her best to do what you said.’’

‘’Don’t you dare command me, Amelia! I am the Alpha!’’ Marcus’ eyes flashed red, showing that his wolf was close, but that didn’t strike fear in Amelia.

‘’Just remember that you are under my roof now.’’

‘’Yes, that is true, but just remember that even though you are my mate. If you dare lay a hand on me, you and your pack will suffer greatly. My father will have no mercy on you.’’

That made Marcus back away from her.

‘’And you best law off hitting Aurora, because when the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack arrives and sees how you are treating a pack member, you will be in trouble.’’

Marcus let out a thunderous laugh. ‘’Do you really think he would care for this low life? And I’m sure an Alpha like him is doing much worse to his pack members. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had his people carrying him here on a throne.’’

“I don’t know how this Moon Goddess made a man like you for me. You make me sick, Marcus.’’

Hearing those words hurt him deeply, but because he had an image to maintain, he laughed it off.

‘’You should watch it, little pup, father or not. I won’t hesitate to punish you.’’

‘’Go ahead, see what happens to you after.’’

Amelia stared him down until he left the kitchen.

‘’Why did you do that?’’ Aurora asked.

‘’Because it is not right. I know you got used to it, but you shouldn’t be treated like this. Where is your mate?’’

‘’Maybe not eighteen yet or he doesn’t care.’’

Suddenly, a distant voice came into Aurora’s mind, almost scaring her.

"Mate!", the person said.

"Mate?", Aurora asked in confusion.

Then the scent hit her. It was soft, woody, creamy, rich, and seductive all at the same time and assaulted her senses.

‘’Who are you?’’ Aurora asked.

‘’Why are you?’’ The person asked back with excitement in their voice.

She didn’t respond, afraid that whoever it was would reject her after seeing that she was their mate.

The pack members were cruel to her, and she was sure her mate wouldn’t want anything to do with her.

‘’Are you still there?’’ The voice asked, and Aurora tried her best to tune it out.

''I'm coming for you,'' The voice said, more like a warning.
