Looking Forward to the Battle

I threw the stone through the surface of the water. It bounced one, two, three times. It was not enough. I picked another one, used my reflexes to swing it down with my left arm, and threw it again through the surface of the water. I smirked when it bounced six times, I reckoned.

I sighed and got tired of playing the rock game, so I squatted down on the huge rock in front of the pristine lake. It was getting dark. The sun is setting beautifully, the lake calmly exposing its beauty in front of my eyes, and nature makes sounds to calm me and relax.

“I thought you went to your hut again. Didn’t find you in the habitat.”

I heard Roy’s voice behind me, so I looked up at him. His hands were on his slacks, his unruly hair blown by the wind, and he went beside me while standing up. I smirked at him.

“Sorry. You know that I am good at doing stealth,” I said proudly.
