Kieran's POV

“There’s still no news Kayden and Renna yet.” I muttered, as Renna's enraged father, stared at me with disdain clearly written on his face. “The Sentinels and I have searched the borders, but there's no trace of them. Heck, we don't even know what pack he belongs to. There's not so much we can do with his men keeping their eyes on our every move.”

“Nonsense!” Donovan yelled, tossing the wine glass in his hands away. He hurled it at me, and I barely managed to duck on time before it hit the wall behind me, shattering into pieces.

My eyes widened in anger and I clenched my fist, adjusting the shirt I had on with one hand, while I hoped the alpha seated away from me doesn’t notice the anger that made its way to my face.

“I gave you one job to do, Kieran! One fucking job! Yet, you couldn’t even do it right?!” he scoffed. “What the hell am I keeping you around for?! To parade yourself around as Leia's mate?!”
