"W-what do you mean—ah!"

His touch made me gasp. My eyes fluttered shut as I felt his strong hands wrap around my waist, pulling me in until there was no space left between us.

The scent of a forest after the rain, masculine and earthy, wafted from his skin, igniting a burning, unfamiliar passion within me.

He then shifted his attention, planting kisses along my jawline down to the hollow of my neck.

I still didn't understand what he had said earlier. All I knew was that my logic had vanished, overwhelmed by a desire that held me captive.

"Sir...." I whimpered weakly, yet my hands clutched his shirt collar, keeping him close.

"Call me Aaron," he whispered softly.

For some reason, his whispers seemed to hold a magical power I couldn't resist. And his voice ... it gave me goosebumps while sending a strange thrill through me, awakening hidden desires.

"Aaron...." His name escaped my lips, less like a mere address and more like an expression of intoxicating pleasure.

At the sound of it, Aaron claimed my lips again. But this time, there was no gentleness, it was replaced by a wild, demanding hunger.

I gasped for breath, my trembling hands found the courage to move upward, gripping Aaron’s shoulders. A burning sensation spread from the points where our skin touched.

His large, strong hands moved from my jaw, threading through my hair to hold the back of my neck with such dominance that my face was tilted fully upward. He crushed his lips against mine, rough and filled with a mounting, unbridled lust.

"Aaron ... ah...."

My moan only fueled the fire within him. He became even more unrestrained. Words were abandoned, replaced entirely by the sound of our ragged, desperate breathing. My senses drifted into an unfamiliar warmth, something I should have resisted, yet it left me rooted to the spot, utterly helpless.

Aaron’s hands began to remove my clothes with movements that were gentle yet deliberate. I held my breath as he fixed a gaze upon me, a hungry look he no longer tried to hide, as if he wanted to devour me with his eyes alone. Moments later, he stripped off his own clothes, piece by piece, until his broad chest was fully revealed before me.

His chest and rock-hard abdominal muscles looked flawless, as if sculpted by the hands of a master artist. I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly went dry at the sight of such virility right in front of me.

Suddenly, Aaron moved closer and began showering my entire body with heated kisses, not missing a single inch. His hands caressed my skin, over and over again, driving me to the brink of madness.

This was wrong. It was so incredibly wrong.

My logic screamed the word over and over, yet my body surrendered to an inexplicable, magnetic pull. That night spiraled into a point of no return, a mistake entangled in intoxicating passion.

As the first light of dawn crept through the office blinds, I woke up with a battered body and a throbbing head.

I was alone in the vast room. Everything was tidy; the sofa was clean, and the shirt that had been scattered on the floor the night before was gone. It was as if nothing had ever happened.

I walked home unsteadily, making my way through the morning mist while guilt and fear mounted within me.

In the days that followed, I avoided him at all costs. I deliberately took the longest route to steer clear of the executive floor. I tried to banish all memories of his face, convincing myself it had been nothing more than a wild night, one that would remain buried forever.

Until this morning, when inside the cramped bathroom, two distinct red lines appeared on the pregnancy test.

"No," I whispered, staring at the plastic stick in disbelief. "This has to be a mistake. It can't be."

My hands trembled so violently that I dropped the test onto the floor. My breath and heartbeat seemed to stall. The world around me felt like it was closing in, constricting my lungs until I struggled to find air.

I tried again. Twice. Three times. The result remained the same.

Those two lines stood stark and bold, as if mocking my future.

Dark thoughts began to swirl in my mind. How could I explain this? Who would believe that an ordinary intern like me was carrying the child of the city's most influential CEO?

  • The Alpha's Secret Heir   136. A New Order Arrives

That morning, after all the warmth that had briefly subsided between them, the atmosphere in the house slowly returned to normal.Elena was now in the kitchen. The soft clinking of utensils could be heard from there, followed by the aroma of a simple meal that was beginning to fill the house. She seemed more stable. Lighter. As though the burden of fear that had struck her the previous night was slowly being swept away by Hendra’s presence beside her.Meanwhile, Hendra sat on the sofa in the living room. His phone was in his hand. The screen was still dark, but his mind was never truly at ease. His eyes stared blankly toward the window, but his thoughts ran far deeper than the peaceful morning visible outside.About Fay.About Lucas.About everything Elena must never know. And, of course, about the man in the black cloak. The shadowy figure whose presence always felt like a blade pressed against his throat. The silence broke when the phone in his hand vibrated.Hendra instinctively lo

  • The Alpha's Secret Heir   135. Diverting the Morning Passion

Elena was still resting in his arms when the conversation began to flow slowly. The sounds of the neighbors in the morning could be heard faintly outside the house, mingling with the silence that still surrounded the two of them.Elena looked at Hendra's face for a moment, then slightly furrowed her brow."Darling…," she called softly."Yes?""Fay … is it really okay for us to leave her there alone?"Once again, her thoughts were still focused on her daughter, who was far away at her mother's place.Hendra lowered his head, his eyebrows lifting slightly. "What do you mean?"Elena hesitantly bit her lower lip. "You said you wanted to bring Fay home, but you came straight back for me instead. Now I can't stop thinking about her being there alone."Hendra was silent for a moment. But then, the corner of his lips lifted."It seems Fay prefers staying there to spending time with us," he said, as if joking. When Elena did not react, Hendra let out a soft sigh, then continued in a slightly g

  • The Alpha's Secret Heir   134. False Calm

Morning light slowly slipped through the gap in the window curtains, falling softly into the room that was still shrouded in silence. The air inside the room felt warm, a stark contrast to the coldness of the night that had just passed.Elena was still asleep in his arms. Her breathing was slow, steady, and calm. Her face looked much more peaceful than the previous night, as if all the fears that had crept into her had slowly disappeared the moment Hendra returned to her side.As if his presence alone was enough to make Elena's world feel safe again.Hendra looked at the woman in silence. His arms were still wrapped around Elena's body, maintaining that position without truly daring to move much. Not because he was afraid of waking her, but because for a moment … he did not want to let her go.Last night, Elena had not let him leave. Even after Hendra returned home, the woman had asked him to stay here. She did not ask many questions. She did not complain. She simply held his hand as

  • The Alpha's Secret Heir   133. Behind That Smile

Another memory suddenly surfaced in my mind. Fragments of what had happened before I lost consciousness. The sound of impacts, screams, blood, and the thick steel prison door being torn from its hinges as if it were nothing more than a fragile object. My brow furrowed even deeper. I still remembered it quite clearly.Aldhen had not come alone that time. There had been another man with him. A figure who, even now, still left a terrifying impression in my mind.He had not spoken much. He did not seem as calm as Aldhen. Even compared to Aldhen, that man felt much wilder and more ferocious.I still remembered how the steel door that had been impossible to open all this time was simply destroyed by his strength. As if something that thick were nothing more than a toy.My gaze returned to Aldhen. "Back then...."Aldhen raised one eyebrow."What?""You didn't come alone, did you?"For a moment, he seemed to understand what I meant, then the corner of his lips lifted slightly. "So you remembe

"How are you feeling?"I stared at him for a few seconds. Then, the memory finally returned. My eyes widened."Wait!" I pointed at him. "You—"A faint smile appeared on his lips. "Finally...."I frowned. "You're the Alpha who crossed that boundary."He chuckled softly. "Yes." Then he stepped inside. "You finally remembered, Fay."I continued staring at him in disbelief. "You were the one who brought me here?""If not me, who do you think it was?"I fell silent. The man pulled out a chair and sat down not far from me.His attitude was much more relaxed than during our first meeting. As if we were having an ordinary conversation."I was right, wasn't I?""About what?"His gaze met mine. "That someday, we would meet again."I immediately remembered the words he had said when he left the forest that time."This isn't over, Fay. I'm sure we'll meet again someday."Who would have thought he was actually right. But there was a much more important question that was now troubling my mind."Doe

  • The Alpha's Secret Heir   131. Meeting Again

I slowly woke up with my head still feeling heavy. For a few seconds, I simply stared at the ceiling above me without really understanding what I was looking at.This was not a prison. Not an underground room. Nor was it the cramped room where I had been held captive all this time. The ceiling of this room was high, decorated with dark wooden beams that had been carefully polished. Sunlight streamed through the large windows on the side of the room, making the entire bedroom feel warm.I blinked several times.'Where am I?'The breath I had been holding finally escaped when I felt the small life continuing to grow inside me.My baby was fine.My eyes immediately felt hot. My fingers slowly caressed my stomach, as if wanting to make sure once again that my baby was really still there."I know you're strong," I whispered softly. My voice trembled despite my efforts to stop it. "Thank you for holding on."For some reason, saying those words made my chest feel tight and relieved at the sa
