Austin is Getting Married

I watched him set his tools down slowly, then heaved a sigh. "Does it still bother you that much?"

I shrugged. "Let's focus."

He didn't buy my oattempt at changing the subject. "I really don't know if he would ask of you. I don't know what sort of relationship you guys now have. But I'll be here for you. Whether he wants you back or not."

I nodded and forced a snile. It wasn't quite what I wanted to hear. "Of course."

I adjusted my back on the tree and closed my eyes again. That question relegated itself to the back of my mind again. It wasn't going to get an answer anytime soon.

I slept my way through Simon's hard work and the sun's journey across the sky, and woke up at sunset. By then, most of the shed was finished, and he had put a folded cloth behind my head so I could rest well.

"I didn't know you could do things like these." I said, straightening.

"Well, a man has to try." He laughed and drank some water, then went back to adjusting the woods he had already set straight. It was
