How Dare You

"What are you doing?" I asked him, my eyes taking him in. He still looked the same, but it wasn't like I had expected him to change. It hasn't been that long. But so much had happened through that short time, and he had gone from being my closest friend to someone I wasn't so sure about.

"I asked nicely, Hazel." He said, then blinked and took a step closer to me.

"Are we still on this? What is so wrong with staying friends? What is so wrong in the relationship we used to have? Why can't we just keep it that way? Why can't you stay my friend?"
