Neil's POV

Thoughts and tears were biting the back of my mind as Cole drove down the road. A lump forms in my throat and I manage to gulp it down. Amelia has lost her memories. She may not remember who I am to her. And added with a bigger problem that she has been placed under a caregiver because the brain damage had affected her mental status coupled with the arsenic.

I saw the medical reports; the arsenic cannot be removed from her body as it had spread all around her body.

"But why is she with a caregiver? I thought it's just arsenic in the blood?" I had asked Cole, disturbed.

"One of the effects of arsenic in the body is confusion and at such a surgeon suggested we place her under a caregiver. And you know also, the brain injury."

You know you're just being sad for nothing, Heira starts, pacing slowly and rather with impatience in my mind.

How do you mean? Can't you see that this whole thing is climaxing to the worse. Losing her memories? It will never feel the same way.
